How much money thus company is going to make next year...
As I can count it there's at least 5 potential billion dollar movies coming from them next year between Marvel/Star Wars and straight Disney/Pixar?
That's a scary amount of cash.
I mean damn...they sure are going make a bunch of my money considering I will most likely go see every single Disney release next year.

Scrooge McDuck will have plenty to swim in, once Ducktales comes back.

If only they owned DC characters.
"Superman vs Captain America" alone would make enough money to build a mountain.

Remember when people thought that Disney buying Marvel and Star Wars would ruin both franchises?

Eh I wouldn't enjoy that there's just something ugh about all these creative properties being owned by a single entity that then divides it into subsidiaries or different divisions.

That's actually what I like about the way Disney does it. Marvel is still Marvel. Star Wars is still Star Wars. They didn't stick the Disney logo in front of Star Wars like people were afraid of. Part of the package of a Star Wars movie is the Lucasfilms logo and they kept that. Made me happy.

Pretty sure every other comic book publishing company and creator in the country would drag Disney to Washington and argue against a monopoly occurring.

I think it's too early to tell with Star Wars. Apparently Disney did a lot of meddling with Episode 7 and Rogue One and Episode 7 isn't really that good and the audience and critics are retracting the praise once the hype of "OMGZ NEW STAR WARZ" has died down. The same thing happened with The Phantom Menace.
Doctor Strange was the first Marvel Movie since the merger to not have any creative output by Disney and only got there because of Feige. Granted the MCU's track record is really good but Joss Whedon and Alan Taylor have said they shot completely different films but barely had a say in the editing room and it was edited to something completely different. Granted it could be heresay, an excuse for there creative mishaps, or Disney is just really protective of Thor more than any of the other franchises.
But once again it's wait and see as well since Doctor Strange is the first MCU film since the merger with total creative freedom and maybe Marvel goes up it's own ass too far where they needed a corporate buffer that isn't afraid to say no to a couple of things.

I don't know if I believe that when it comes to Joss Whedon...I know his work pretty damn well and alot of AoUs mistakes were Joss trying to Whedonize the Marvelverse.

Not to compare everything to wrestling but it seems like the same thing people complained of when Vince bought out the territories or when he bought WCW...

Remember when people thought that Disney buying Marvel and Star Wars would ruin both franchises? I admit, I was VERY cynical about both, especially Star Wars. I thought they just wanted the license so they could pump out more crap films, then sell stuffed Ewoks at the Disney Store for a markup. But man, they made magic.

But I do think his comments he wanted Age of Ultron to be a darker film with bigger consequences showing the real cracks of The Avengers is pretty valid. Like I would be pretty pissed if they scrapped those ideas and used those ideas on the next movie you weren't even involved in. Civil War was pretty much Age of Ultron Part 2 or The Avengers 3.

Yes, because unlike him Disney tends to learn from their mistakes. I'm one of the ones who grew to have issues with TFA but it was the fact that it felt like SW fan fiction that bothered me. Now I'm starting to realize that Disney probably felt that was the best thing at the time for the franchise.
