More bad news for the indies. He had the best 2016 of any wrestler in the world (Styles stans don't @ me).

I got a hunch he'll be in a trainer's role. I don't see them putting Hero on TV.

What I wish would happen: Kings Of Wrestling win both Tag Team Titles!
What will actually happen: He'll either be a trainer or wrestling on SmackDown! for a while until he gets moved down to NXT as a trainer.

I got a hunch he'll be in a trainer's role. I don't see them putting Hero on TV. That was my first thought as well. Selfishly I'd prefer him being like Joe or Rhyno were for NXT just to see him wrestle with some of the guys there but a trainers gig there is a great one to have. Plus not only does he have the experience and knowledge from working all over the world but he knows the WWE system as well.

Honestly I hope it's for more than a Trainer Role, Chris has a few years left where he can still be a great worker and wrestler before being regulated to that type of role I feel.
He'd be a great fit and opponent for Nakamura, and even a good fit for Smackdown or RAW, so I guess we'll see

f*** I hope this is true and they actually realize what they have this time. I don't care how big he is, he's one of the best wrestlers on the planet and he's better than 90% of their current roster. The fascination with his weight is f***ing gross and pathetic.

I finally met him this year. Amazingly kind and genuine guy with so much time for the fans.
Saw him vs Scurll (PROGRESS), vs Ishii and vs Shibata (RPW) live this year and 18 f***ING years into his career he still has it. His debut in PROGRESS this year from SSS16 onward was exceptional
One thing I am disappointed with now is we might not get him vs Ospreay for a while now. A match I have wanted to happen for quite some time. Unless it happens at probably Heroes last PWG show this coming Friday at Mystery Vortex.

Super personable.

I went to the Scenic City Invitational in Chattanooga this year to see him. He took the time to talk to all of the fans and was extremely genuine. It also showed me how good he was. Not only did he make himself look good during that 2-day tournament, he also made a lot of independent guys look like superstars.

Now that NXT is a glorified superindy rather than just developmental, I can understand why they want him back despite his age and current plubbyness.

Either as an in-ring talent or a trainer, good shit. Dude's one of the great in-ring psychologists of this generation.

Wasn't he the primary trainer of Cesaro? Obviously, Claudio is an exceptionally talented man, but that still tells me that he might be a good guy to hire on as a trainer, especially since he's obviously someone who has worked extensively with Sara Del Ray.

I haven't seen recent photos of Chris. Has he lost all that weight from his back surgery?

I haven't seen recent photos of Chris. Has he lost all that weight from his back surgery? No, he's actually bulked up more. That's an undeniable fact, but he seems to be just as good in-ring as he ever was, if not better.
