I found it boring since it's first post Redemption season.
The matches are far too predictable and the stories don't do more than "Me want title!" or "Me from indies so I make someone jealous and feud with them!"
I remember watching that multi woman tag match which had Ember Moon thinking how corny the gimmicks were.
The Takeovers are usually well done, heck I was willing to get a marked up ticket for it. Lol.
I do understand why things are the way they are, but it doesn't change the fact that the regular shows do nothing for me.

Now you know why TNA had problems with ratings when they had Joe, Roode and Aries.

I wouldn't say NXT's problem is quality of talent, it's the quality and effort of writing.
Back during NXT's more exciting periods, they managed to make guys like Bo Dallas, Tyler Breeze, and Tyson Kidd all engaging characters. But sometime around the time Kevin Owens and Finn Balor arrived, NXT started relying on guys indy cred above anything else. Nowadays when anyone with any semblance of star power comes in we're supposed to be excited by that alone instead of who or what they are now. There's no effort to promote these guys as anything othr than what they assume we already know about them. I'm not saying they need OTT gimmicks, but giving us some sort of motivation, or personality from them would go a long way to making them more memorable and engaging.

Looks like we've got a lot of negative Nellies in sector two!

I used to watch it religiously, but there's not really many people I'm invested in at the moment.
Im a big Joe/Nakamura/Roode fan but there's nothing extremely 'hooking' about NXT right now.

So no Nielsen rating. Not anymore for a long time. Rogers decided we wanted Main Event instead. Rogers aka The Comcast of Canada that pretty much airs all our wrestling, hockey, and naming all our arenas. Truly the Evil Corp Mr. Robot is talking about

I am completely fine with NXT being the boring C-tier wrestling show for a little while. Sometimes I like to just lay back and let the show wash over me instead of needing to be glued to every word.

I'm not saying they need OTT gimmicks, but giving us some sort of motivation, or personality from them would go a long way to making them more memorable and engaging. Precisely so. The Full Sail fans seem to mostly love Roderick Strong, and I've heard his name a lot. But so far, all I see is a dude in greasy hair with generic black tights and boots. He is as WWE developmental as you can get from this distance. He was just in a number one contendership match and I have no idea what the f*** he is about. However I will say that NXT goes through cycles of this as far as I can tell, when there are callups they have to rebuild. People's reaction to Oney Lorcan in this thread, and I've been loving Lorcan more since that first victory over Tye a few months back, is part of an indication of WWE's own mindset - Oney frickin' Lorcan is better than Nakamura according to this, how dare they. They dare because that's putting a guy over? That's the entire point. WWE needs more of their own home grown guys to start getting good and getting gimmicks.

It's because they took too many people off the roster who weren't even ready to come up. Sami was ready. Finn was ready. The Horsewomen were ready. But, why are Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin on the main roster? Nia Jax? Dana Brooke? The Vaudevillains? These are all people who were featured talent on NXT who still had room to grow on the smaller stage. I skip NXT a lot of times now, but if the roster hadn't been gutted, I wouldn't be.
