As a fighter? Yeah there's no coming back from that at least as any sort of major draw. Her whole run was predicated on her being a dominant force, and that's gone now. Even if she decided to go back to the drawing board and regroup to fight again, the days of her being a main even draw just got crushed. As a mainstream Hollywood draw that potentially stars in her own movies and such? Yeah, that's gone too; for the same reasons as above. Her whole image as a destroyer has just been shattered. Now she can likely still go to WWE or maybe go the Gina Carano route in movies where she's a member of the cast/bad guy's henchwomen and like that, or maybe make direct to dvd movies and such. But as far as making any huge money as the top draw somewhere? Over. Actually, I think, and yes I know this is cynical of me, she will probably be fine in films or shows if she goes that route because she's still attractive. That was a big part of the draw, too, to put her in stuff like that Expendables film. She doesn't have the acting chops to be a lead, anyhow, but I could easily see her as a cop or some goofy "Judo practictioner who street fights to put her sister through college" ridiculousness.

Rousey was dead the minute Holm laid her out. Nunes using her as a punching bag was simply the burial.
I said it in another thread, and I'll say it here: We will never hear from Rousey again. She has the mental toughness of a 5 year old. She will disappear from the public eye completely.

UFC should have kept feeding her tomato cans. It was a winning formula. Now it's gone.

TKO via punches 48 seconds into the fight. Not only do I have no doubt in my mind that she is finished, but I'm also quite worried about how the effect that this is going to have on her mental state, which was already fragile to begin with. Something like this could tip her over the breaking point and hopefully she gets help before she does something that she regrets.

She's done with UFC, but she's going to have a decent career in Hollywood. I could even seeing her being featured at Mania against Stephanie. Stephanie could knock her saying that even she could beat her now and then have Rousey turn her inside out. It would get over. She's going to be fine away from the fight business.

The look on Rousey's face as Holm was beating her said she was done then.

I really dont think she's going to be doing many big time hollywood projects. She's not really charismatic in the movies she's in but her reputation carried the rest along.
Rep is pretty much gone. She needs acting lessons or she'll be in that special section of direct to dvd actioners starring MMA guys.

The UFC seemed to honestly believe that Holm would be an easy win for Ronda and they could promote her as beating an undefeated former boxing champion but... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} As for her acting career link

JCVD still gets work and he got KO'd by Chuck F'N Zito.
She was never going to be winning Academy Awards, my dudes. She was always destined to be in Scorpion King 10 with Dolph Lundgren and Chuck Liddell. That has nothing to due with her a sub par boxing and everything to do with her sub par acting.

Her in these leading roles build around her are done.
She will still get supporting roles. Gina is a good role in that as evidenced by Deadpool and other roles.
I do not think she is willing to put in the work for a WWE run

Her in these leading roles build around her are done. What leading roles though? It's not like Hollywood has been freely throwing roles her way even before Holm took her out, and short of spending the next five years solid learning how to act she's always destined to be a supporting actor in big action movies, and the star of direct-to-DVD action movies like this Road House remake will probably end up being.

Let me rephrase leading roles that could have been. If they were pitched they are gone.

If her Hollywood people are smart, they would pitch Rousey against type. Have her work as a supporting character in a romantic comedy or an action comedy. Everybody keeps thinking her path was 'serious action movie star' because of her UFC persona, but that would have been a dead-end, regardless of her losses.
Look at Batista. He did a bunch of serious, gritty DTV movies, but he wasn't over in Hollywood. He hams it up and plays against type, as perceived because of his pro wrestling bona fides, in the Marvel movies and now makes serious bank.
In Hollywood, funny does in fact make money. Do the funny, Ronda, and you'll blow up.

Is this something Ronda wants to do or is she doing it because it was thrown at her. If she wants to do it than I agree with you.

Hollywood has rehabilitated both professional and personal reputations far worse than Rousey's. I don't think she was ever going to be a big box office draw, because of her limited acting ability coupled with the lack of charisma to make up for it, but I think after a few years of big-time support roles she'll still get plenty of small-time leading roles within her wheelhouse. Pretty much the female Vinnie Jones.

Ronda can't act for shit, though. Other than standing around looking mean, I don't know what her appeal in movies would even be.
She makes Sam Worthington look like Daniel Day-Lewis.
