Who do you think is the bigger legend? I will say Warrior because he was the second most popular wrestler at one time when Honky never was. The only bad thing is that when he was a headliner as the World champ, he was a bust. Honky wasn't a bust when he was the headliner as the IC Champ though you can say the same thing about the Warrior not being a bust when he was the headliner as IC champ.
Of course, honky says that he was the bigger icon since he wasn't a bust as a headliner.when he was IC champ.

Warrior and it's not even close. Honky is delusional if he thinks he's on the same tier.

Warrior and it's not even close, if Honky was as big a star as he thinks he was he wouldn't have spent the 90s onward as a journeyman, as one of the few WWF names that WCW felt wssn't worth the effort it would take to placate and keep employed. Warrior spent the same period only really returning to wrestling when they threw money at him so he can't have been that big a bust.

Obviously Warrior.
Nobody was ever going to be the new top draw with Hogan on the roster.

I think HTM deserves some respect, certainly, but Warrior was a much bigger deal. Not my cup of tea, really, on multiple levels, but if we're talking starpower, it's Warrior, no question about it.

Warrior reached a higher level for a shorter period of time and failed as a draw.
Honky lasted longer and drew as a heel. Plus he was involved with perhaps the most famous brawl in wrestling history.
To it's honestly a lot closer then people are making it out to be.

Warrior by a hundred miles. There's literally nothing HTM has on Warrior in any category.

The only thing I care about is who consistently entertains me more.
That would be HTM.

Warrior by a million miles. This is as laughable as trying to compare Sting to Alex Wright

Warrior. HTM is nowhere near his level of star power and he never will be.

I'm all for self belief, but seriously....is Honky really that deluded, or is he just trying to get a reaction?
Warrior all the way - I wasn't really a fan, but non fans would most likely be able to identify him more than they would HTM.

He's working people, right?
I mean, I they were both terrible in the ring, but when you look at just about any metric you care to look at, Warrior is on a whole other level. Warrior never stood a chance of being the top guy with Hogan still being around.

Warrior
And I don't think he was a bust as world champion. He wasn't as popular as Hogan, but no one would have been during that era.

The weird aspect of Warrior is that after he lost the title his house show matches with Taker drew a ton of money for that time period. So really if his title run was sketchy it was due to a lack of decent heel opponents, especially once WWE put the main built up heel on the roster (Earthquake) with Hogan.
I let my feelings on Honky be known in other threads. If there is ever a title run that WWE actually should have someone break to get it off the books, it would be HTM's IC title run.

At one point in 1989, Warrior was the most popular wrestler in the Federation if not the World. His merchandise was out-selling Hogan's, and this is what convinced the office for Wrestlemania 6.

2nd or 3rd biggest wrestling name of the 80s vs Elvis impersonator with love handles. It's a tough one.

To be fair to Honky, dude was really a reviled heel, and that reign was great. He does deserve the accolades he gets for that.
But again, he's not in the same stratosphere as Warrior by any metric you'd wanna use.

Honky always said that he drew money when he headlined as IC Champ and that the Warrior was a bust when he headlined as the WWE champ and because of that, he says he's the bigger icon. I guess you can say he's delusional. Especially when you consider that when Warrior headlined IC title tours, he drew money and I think the length of both of his IC title reigns combined I believe lasted longer than Honky's single reign.
