Watched it a few times. That could have ended very badly but he actually got himself flipped over enough that he landed pretty safely all things considered

It did look like AJ may have tried to rotate him when he realized they were falling, but it may have been AJ trying to steady him. Either way, that had to be pretty horrifying, pretty shitty accident that doesn't leap out to me as someone's negligence.

Good thing he managed to turn his body over, because if he didn't, that would have been a straight fall on his shoulders/neck, or worse, head. Still quite a nasty looking fall, but at least the worst case scenario was averted.
