Man, that post bums me out, though. Quack REALLY did miss the boat on Ricochet, huh? Like a comic collector sitting on top of a mint condition first issue worth a million, and not even knowing it. In his defense, Ricochet during his initial CHIKARA days was a bean pole spot monkey that had zero presence and was really rough in the ring. In the sense that his transitions and the flow of his matches were all over the place if he wasn't in there with a guy leading him by the hand. Because they'd go "HIGH SPOT! ....UHHHHH....HIGH SPOT! ....UHHHHH.....HIGH SPOT! ...UHHHH..." rinse and repeat. So I get why Quackenbush would put him in a mask, it gave him something beyond being a dude in gym shorts with great big hair flipping around the place. Even if it was a superficial something. Because lord knows his promos in CHIKARA were bowling shoe ugly. It wasn't till after he went to Dragon Gate & essentially left American indies for a few years to bulk up and really hone his craft did he start to become who he is today. But there's no way even then CHIKARA could compete with Japan's money, nor was it necessarily Quack's fault he didn't foresee what Ricochet would transform into. It'd be like scolding someone for not hanging onto CM Punk in his first few years in the business because of who & what he'd become. Hindsight's a bitch. That’s all true. Some people might want to go complain about Lucha Underground if they are upset that Ricochet was put under a mask.  |

I completely missed this Tweet but YIKES. I understand the getting paid part. CHIKARA isn’t exactly known for paying that well. The family values bit feels like a shot fired. I don’t get why he tagged Bret Hart with the family values comment after what his family has been through with the WWF / WWE. Dunno about thr Bret tag, but there have been a lot of criticisms about Quack for only caring how something effects Chikara |

Dunno about thr Bret tag, but there have been a lot of criticisms about Quack for only caring how something effects Chikara That’s why I thought it felt like a shot fired. The Bret tag is odd to me. |

At least we have a legitimate feud going into the finale. If legitimate means "Hastily thrown together feud that was dropped for months rekindled off of a shoot promo" then yeah... Sorry this year in particular with CHIKARA has infuriated me. |

Race Jaxon and Hype Rockwell Kobald and Oleg Merlock and Ashley Vox The Whisper and Ophidian Add to that that it looks like things aren't done between Xyberhawx and Crab/Crawdad as well as Jeremy Leary and Lucas Calhoun seeming like it hasn't blown off yet and I'd say you have a bunch of feuds, albeit with widely varying degrees of heat. |

Race Jaxon and Hype Rockwell Kobald and Oleg Merlock and Ashley Vox The Whisper and Ophidian Add to that that it looks like things aren't done between Xyberhawx and Crab/Crawdad as well as Jeremy Leary and Lucas Calhoun seeming like it hasn't blown off yet and I'd say you have a bunch of feuds, albeit with widely varying degrees of heat. I don't know if Ophidian's even coming back. Whole thing is confusing. Rockwell and Jaxon feels relitively heatless but that's probably because I never gave a shit about NRG. Merlock is like Braun Strowman at this point for CHIKARA, Vox beating him seems ridiculous... Kobald and Oleg is also kind of Odd, it's a feud I guess but I don't know if it's going anywhere Hawks vs Shellfish is whatever, I miss the Colony, what the hell even happened to that storyline? Frightmare kills all the Ants and that's all? Calhoun/Leary almost feels like it was dropped, wouldn't be surprised... |

While that may be an accurate depiction of the storylines it doesn't negate the fact that the feuds actually exist. |
