Were into a new year and the Christmas holiday is almost a month past. So do you still have your X-Mas lites up or have you taken them down?

Family leaves them up year round as we only got them on one window and this wooden cabin thing that sits on our deck. We're at the bottom of a hill and hardly anyone ever comes over so it's not a bother.

My decorations are still up because I'm lazy and I don't want to take the time to put all of it back into storage and the regular stuff back until I get so sick of it I'm willing to take a weekend day to do it.

Our outdoor Christmas lights are down, but our Christmas tree is still up in our living room, I guess it will go in the garage this weekend.

My whole neighborhood traditionally takes them down on MLK day because 1) some of the neighborhood celebrated Russian Christmas and 2) the neighborhood always has family/friends visiting in the intervening weeks after Christmas, with everyone usually leaving by MLK day, so we all leave it up so everyone can see it look nice.

We haven't put up X-mas lights in almost 10 years. Now I have had Halloween lights, skeletons that change color along with music,up since 2012.But that is just in one corner of my room.

Monday for me as well......I still have two neighbors who have their lights AND Halloween decorations up too.
You'd think they'd learn when they hear my kids yelling "Daddy, they still got pumpkins!!!" when I stroll them around the block.

Inside stuff came down while I was watching bowl games. Outside stuff will come down the first weekend day that's sunny and not subzero

Yep.
Tree is down, but the lights are still up outside.
Probably would have taken them down last weekend but there was a heavy snow storm .

To quote my nearly 70 year old aunt's facebook memes I actually took the tree down the day after, on 1/7. This year I only put up the tree (which is a 3 ft fiber optic pre lit), a doormat, and a wobbly snowman. With a baby on the way (due Jan 30!) we didn't need an overabundance of stuff to take care of.
