Misunderstandings(well it's a cliche in shonen/romantic comedy animes as well), exaggerated imagination, and girls with strength they aren't even aware they have.

Also, cute sounding words that have no meaning on their own at the end of sentences (like "desu desu" or my favourite "Uguu~!").

Me thinks you're taking this way too seriously and are on a different page than everyone else just having fun with it. For example: In sports anime you regularly see feats that most professional athletes wouldn't be able to do on a regular basis, and they're done by high school kids in a realistic setting. Do I have a gripe with it? No, if it's not overused. Do I like it? Yeah, again, if it's not overused. Here it would be posted more like this: "High school team member MC can do high-level professional plays but is barely a bench warmer for his team, because growth goddamn it!" |
