I'm sad about them dropping Eurosport as back in the late 80s, it was one of the channels Sky used as a major selling point. It was one of the big two sports channels on cable (along with Screensport) before Sky launched their own sports channel.

I only care about losing Eurosport. Discovery has been shit for years. It used to be about science. Now it's filled with stuff like Moonshiners, Street Outlaws, Finding Bigfoot, Ghost Stalkers and other garbage.

Thankfully I moved over from Sky to Virgin last year. Eurosport are fantastic with their snooker coverage and I'd have hated to have lost that channel. The Discovery documentary channels aren't as good as they used to be though, still nice to have but no longer essential viewing.
This is the knock on-effect of Sky massively over paying for the Premier League. They've been cost-cutting and penny pinching for a while now.

They'll probably agree a deal eventually and be brought back.
I remember about 10 years ago when Virgin and Sky got into a dispute about Sky's channels which lead to them being gone from Virgin TV for about a year. They eventually sorted out a new deal and they came back.
Nickelodeon being removed from Telewest is another one.

I'd move away from Sky tomorrow if any other providers had Sky Atlantic. It's the one Sky channel I can't do without as I watch so many shows on it. Sky have been very smart holding that channel for themselves.

The Premier League coverage isn't worth it. I mean outside of the big six teams, who really watches it? The ratings are piss poor for many games. Even stuff like the Champions League on BT is a waste of money. Aside from late stage knockout matches between like Barca vs Bayern, who's watching CSKA Shitbergs vs FC Arendelle?

Wtf? Even if they went downhill many of those channels have basically always been there, it will be strange without them.

I usually get a week sports pass on nowtv if rovers have a match on sky which works out cheaper, so this season I've spent like £30 on sky sports if that. I've watched more discovery channel programmes than most other programmes (only game of thrones, walking dead, the flash, arrow and supergirl.) for some reason I seem to have become hooked on gold rush, deadliest catch and fast n' loud now that mythbusters has ended.

Something needs to be worked out with Eurosport at the least. That's where I first started watching the WWF.

Sadly for them all I care about is the Sports channels, so their Sky Atlantic blackmail didn't work on me

Sky Atlantic is part of the NowTV package, obviously I don't know your internet situation but it's a better deal then paying for the Sky package.
