This...is an awesome idea. I love this idea in theory, but when it was tried with Ren and Stimpy it was all kinds of awful. However, DC comics has been killing it with the Hannah Barbara properties so here's hoping.

I love what DC's doing with the HB properties.
Also, the lead was buried in this story...Huckleberry Hound as a William Faulkner-style author...

I liked the dramatic Flintstones reimagining simply for how insane it was. So this might be potentially good.

I read this in the annual synopsis when they came out and was down with it. Still down with it now.
I'm still shocked they're doing a mini story with Ruff and Reddy in one of them. That's like if Disney did a collection of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit shorts in terms of obscurity.

He was heavily featured in the Epic Mickey game series so he has that going for him.

I was more referencing the first creation of creators thing but you're right too.

Most of them anyway. Wacky Raceland was pretty awful when I was reading it. I read the first issue and could barely get thru it. Art was drivel. Thankfully, Garth Ennis is writing a Muttley & Dastardly mini about them as either WW1 or WW2 flying aces. And by this I mean Muttley is a humanoid dog man.

I'm kind of shocked they haven't done more with Oswald really. He has a feature in some of the Walt Disney's Comics and Stories that IDW has been publishing, but yeah virtually nothing else since Epic Mickey 2 in 2012. Very odd. I'd figure he could appear on one of the kid shows (Mickey Clubhouse, and that new Mickey & the Roadsters show that replaced it) but even then......it wouldn't be much. I think in the end they just really wanted the rights back to Walt's original creation. .........or really wanted to get rid of Al Michaels.
