Why was Roman Reigns in Batman vs Superman? There was need of some mild smugness in the midst of intense brooding. This was a genuine question from some of my friends as they are not familiar with Mamoa. |

I'm still trying to figure out the logic of making an Aquaman movie one of the very first projects in the universe. Nothing against Aquaman on his own, but in the eyes of the public he's still a massive joke and unless Justice League is devoted pretty much entirely to making him look like a badass then that isn't going to change any time soon. Snyder is a really big fan of Entourage? |

Jason mamoa was a name before game of thrones and that includes both genre and non genre stuff. He was the third selling point on the marquee. Not really. Pre-Game of Thrones his biggest roles were Stargate Atlantis and Baywatch Hawaii. He was in the Conan movie but that was released in 2011 the same year as GoT so the two of them undoubtedly had casting and filming in a similar time span... not to mention Conan was a bomb. he was acting before it but he was hardly "a name" |

We have to come to terms with the fact that most of our popular heroes were created by white men at a time when only white men were the big heroes. Times have changed. Our stories and our myths have to bend to reflect that, not vice versa. That is a great way to put it , but even then there is the right characters to do it. Aquaman is totally one of those characters Most main stream public see the blonde Aquaman as a joke anyway x might as well go another route |

I certainly knew who he was before Game of Thrones and his presence was a selling point because I had not read the books yet. Same with Mark Addy. I am a huge fan of his too, but most people would be like oh, the King form game of Thrones? |

(Alternatively Aquaman is Boba Fett) and Nicole Kidman is supposedly his mother... so it seems if they go that route the Atlanteans would be distrustful of him is because he's Polynesian.
