If I could change it, I'd fast forward at the end to the future where child Ashi is hearing the tale from Scotsman and during it encounters Young Jack reincarnated

Not a fan of time traveling paradoxes, but you don't always get the happy ending.
But that's okay. It's important to present this but at the same time present the gravity that, for a while, Jack knew Ashi, & knows that the corrupt future will never happen with Aku being erased from existence.

At all. Remember last ep? Her mother could still birth to her, this time with a normal guy and live a regular life.

What a beautiful ending. Yes, it was sad that Ashi was erased due to Aku's defeat in the past. But as a wise man once said, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few."
I do believe that Jack retained his memories of all the adventures he's been on. And I believe that he will cherish those memories as he lives on.
Also, he doesn't age. So, he could meet an alternate Ashi in the future.

So, he could meet an alternate Ashi in the future. Or, if Ashi's time portal nullified that side-effect of Aku's, could meet an ancestor of Ashi that looked like her. BTW, minor disappointment that I have...was hoping we'd FINALLY learn Jack's real name. But that's not that big a deal.

I'm hoping with this series, there is a complete series dvd release in the uk as it's never had one for some reason.

I've been overanalyzing the series finale a bit much lately.
Jack does create a time paradox, as he kills Aku in the past after returning, but if he did this, how would he have gotten back to begin with, as Aku wouldn't exist, since he was dead in the first place? Unless someone created a time machine of sorts.
Although I like to think that this is more Multiverse theory, but sprinkled with a bit of butterfly effect. Hence why Ashi was erased, but not his memories.
