18, retail. I didn't get one earlier because my parents insisted I go whole hog with schoolwork/avoid roaming the streets late. The one time I choose not to defy them...

It depends on how you define work. I was delivering flyers for money at the age of 14, and even though I was paid to do so, that didn't count as work in the eyes of my dad and I was deemed a worthless bum. I grew up (and lived most of my adult life) in the worst job market in my country, so it wasn't until the summer between my first and second year of university that I was able to get some more socially acceptable forms of work.
What's strange is that my dad got all bent out of shape about me doing whatever I could to pay my tuition, despite the fact that he was a truck driver who wasn't even literate at a functional level. And besides, I was always paid for delivering flyers, whereas the company I worked for during my first university summer cheated me out of a lot of money I was owed, so one step that was seemingly taken forward was actually a step backward.

which i then had to quit, because i was losing money by turning down babysitting jobs so i could work at DQ

Flipped burgers at a place called "The Burger Shack". I was 14 or 15. It was brutal and one of the main reasons I have forever sworn off working in any sort of restaurant. If I'm starving to death and that's the only job I can get, I will choose starving to death.
