Gonna start with the first and corniest intros to the two flagship shows. So yeah, my brother and I are binging both shows, and there were good intentions but man were they BIZARRE nonetheless.
F4: - Dick Clark and Gary Owens guest star, Thing threatens telethon viewers into buying books. - Silver Surfer appearing with '90s surfing music. - The "Mighty Marvel translator" used in both of the Skrull episodes we've seen so far (complete with 4th wall breaking animated Stan Lee) - The WTC being destroyed, again in both Skrull episodes. - Uatu the Watcher = Man-at-Arms... - ...and Fire Lord = sedated Skeletor (same voice, of course) - Getting away with using "sucks" and having Ben and Johnny refer to Beavis and Butt-head several times. - "Yo! What time is it? It's clobberin' time!"
Iron Man: - Gratuitous '90s CGI animation is gratuitious. - Tony's robotic underwear. - "Rejoice, I am Ultimo, thy deliverer!" - The animators thinking War Machine's mask's mouth moved when he talked. - Dreadknight looks like Hordak. - Having a better Avengers lineup than Avengers: United We Stand did.
I'll probably have more additions as we keep watching.

I have both shows on DVD, and love them immensely. I was also 10 when they were on the air.

Is it the second intro to Iron Man that is the badass "I am Iron Man!" one?

In the UK, to make this fully an hour, and because there were no ads on the channel this was shown on, the old 1982 Hulk cartoon was shown between them:

I remember really liking the first season of Fantastic Four back when I was a kid, but being kinda meh on the first season of Iron Man. I only caught bits and pieces of their second seasons due to their schedules and not thinking too highly of either, although one of my earliest college memories is watching the "Ego the Living Planet" episode of FF in the campus lounge.
So were Tony Stark and Julia Carpenter ever an item in the comics? And what was the deal with Century? I've never even heard of the character outside this show. Is he still around in the comics somewhere?

I remember the Incredible Hulk cartoon being included in US but it was a 90s version. I would sometimes get up early enough to watch this. It aired at like 5 AM or some crap.
I also remember there was a random episode (Fantastic 4?) with a Scarlet Spider cameo. Also when Galactus shows up to destroy the planet the only other super heroes who can be assed to help were Thor, who failed, and Ghostrider who made Galactus feel bad for the planets he had destroyed.
Iron Man fought The Beetle in an episode and he sounded like a Beatle.

So the second intro (most metal intro to a cartoon ever?) includes shots of the old school Iron Man suits. Did any of them ever show up in the show itself?

In fact the biggest crime in that opening is that they showed the Samurai Suit and that one was never used The actual suit Tony wears in the sshow is the Modular Armor (aka. Mk. 11) but instead of just changing parts it literally changes the entire armor. There's also some flashback episodes in which I believe the Mk. V (and maybe even the Mk I since it's the origin story, but it's been years since I saw it so I may be wrong) appears.

And what was the deal with Century? I've never even heard of the character outside this show. Is he still around in the comics somewhere? When the Avengers West Coast comic ended, it spun off into the grittier extreme 90s Force Works title, and Century debuted there, becoming a member of the no-longer-Avengers team. He disappeared after that title ended, and turned up again a few years ago as part of that ill-conceived Revengers team Wonder Man put together.

Yes, there was a 1996 (?) version of the Hulk. Complete with Lou Ferrigno voicing the titular character. And oh yeah, it had this scene:

I always forget about that first FF intro. This is the one I always go to in my head:
I still hear this in my head when I think of the Fantastic Four. This show was my gateway to the characters.

The cartoon was kinda goofy, I guess, but I liked the art and music.

I actually thought this cartoon was really fun back in the day. The episode where Thing fights Hulk and the one where the Fantastic Four, Nova (Frankie Rayes), Thor, and Ghost Rider take on Galactus was awesome. I don't know if Ghost Rider's penance stare actually works like that, or if would even have any effect at all on Galactus, but I honestly thought that was a cool and badass way of taking him down.
