I'll see it when/if it hits DVD.
I still love the guy, even of I don't like all of his movies. J&SBSB has aged terribly, but I like the premise behind this enough. Seems perfectly in line with something Jay would do, and of course Bob would tag along even if he thinks it's a terrible idea.

I might see it, though it's been years since I have watched the Askewniverse films. Maybe one day I will marathon them. To be frank, I still have not seen Smith's other films that weren't of that series. I still have not watched Jersey Girl, Zack & Miri Make a Porno, or even Cop Out or Red State. I remember years ago I put on the commentary track for Strike Back and even though it had the commentary track on, I was able to see that the film had not aged well. This was in 2013, by the way. I remember thinking it was the funniest movie ever when I was 15, but the humor and references were horribly dated at that point.

Gotta do the safe movie after all of the experimental stuff. Though the recent phase of his career has been a breath of fresh air. I don't like Clerks 2 much anymore and never really cared for it after the first viewing. Jay and Bob are dumb fun and I will always enjoy them, but I would prefer Kevin find that voice that got him where is at. New characters, same style. He had people finance Tusk and Yoga Hosers, I cannot believe he couldn't get someone to finance a new comedy in the same vein as the view askew.

Yeah, Dante got his Happy Ending.....why mess that up? Leave it be. I think the idea was for Randall to get his happy ending as well. I kind of saw it as Randall getting his happy ending too. All he wanted to do was sit behind a counter, run his mouth and hang out with Dante. Seems like that's what he got. |

All he wanted to do was sit behind a counter, run his mouth and hang out with Dante. Seems like that's what he got. Yeah, I'm not sure how they could have ended the story better |

It's definitely not as bad as critics made it out to be, and George Carlin's performance was great, but for me the problem was the exact same story was done better years before by a movie called Jack & Sarah, starring Richard E. Grant, Samantha Mathis, Ian McKellen, and Judi Dench. |

I'm a bit disappointed that there won't be a Clerks 3 or Mallrats 2. Just for the fact that I am curious as to how RST Video and the Eden Prairie Mall are holding up.

RST would have the "ideo" part of the name covered with a vinyl tarp that had "apes" hand painted (poorly) in its place. Randall would still rent out bootleg discs he downloaded from a pirate source on the side, but mostly he'd just give the hipsters crap when they came in for e-cigs. |

And Smith keeps on putting his wife in his movies and giving her big roles when she has almost not acting talent and is wooden as hell. |

He also did a Spider-man/Black Cat mini-series that had a three(?) year span between #3 and #4. There's a Batman series from 2010 that's still unfinished, too. |
