I keep hearing the tone from my computer that normally indicates when you disconnect a device from the USB port. I wonder if that is the sound of people logging off of remote access of my PC.

Had that happen in my office, it ended up being a USB keyboard with a faulty wire.
Not saying that's 100% your issue. But it could be worth some simple manual tests on any connected equipment.
IT for Dummies Version: unplug something and wait to see if the beeps go away. If not, choose something else besides the power cable to unplug.

Mine did that, and it was the keyboard needing to be replaced. I hope that it's a simple solution for you!!

dude, run some Windows Defender, MSE or MalwareBytes scans. let them clean everything that they want to.
If it's still doing it, it's probably a USB device.

Well, let's just do a virus scan of your computer to see.. *Waits for the ding, then... Seriously though, might just be a defective device wire. Had that with my mouse.

Yup, had that happen with a webcam before. Probably nothing to worry about, just find the defective device and replace it.

Yeah, definitely a loose connection. There would be no reason for remote access to make any sound, plus if they were using your PC, you'd see it on your own monitor and probably wouldn't be able to control it yourself.

Yeah, my computer does it some time with my phone charger and unplugging the phone gets it to stop.

My friend Bonzi might be able to help you. Aw, I miss Bonzi. I remember being a kid and making Bonzi say swear words all the time. It probably infected my computer 463 different ways, but come on! Robot swearing is funny when you're 8.
