I am so confused. How did the voiceover lady start reeling off that La La Land had won 7 awards tonight etc? Surely that stuff is prepared in advance?

I'd feel worse for the people who made "La La Land" except for the fact that the movie was made exclusively to make Oscar voters get that warm fuzzy feeling. Yeah, the Oscar Bait movie won instead, but it was the movie I predicted to win, so I'm over it.

Moonlight was one of the 3 Best Picture Nominations I saw this year. It's not a bad film like it's pretty good but I wouldn't really call it great. Like it cleverly breaks away from the usual Oscar Bait cliches but at the same time it blatantly falls into the same cliches. I'm sure I would like the film a lot more if I grew up in a very poor rough neighborhood. The one thing that bugged me about the film was That handjob he got when he was 14-15 was the only sexual experience he ever had. Like the guy becomes a hard as f*** gangster at 22 shredded to the gills and he hasn't had any sort of sexual or intimate experience since that one night? That's hard to believe. I also hated the last shot of the film was him as a kid basking in the moonlight of the beach. Like anyone who liked that shot can't give Michael Bay shit anymore for overusing sunsets. The ending is what bothered me. It was very abrupt.

So how's WWE gonna do an awful parody of this? "Sami Zayn is your new Number One Contender for the Universal Championship... oh wait, sorry, The Card reads Roman Reigns!"

La La Land - Atlanta Falcons Moonlight - New England Patriots That doesn't work. La La Land won a few times. Is there any way of counting, making it so that La La Land blew a 3-1 lead?

Fun fact: Emma Stone is first cast member of Zombieland to actually win an Oscar. Three other members of the cast have been nominated for an acting Oscar but have all come up short.

I am amazed and confused by what just happened.
Did Moonlight's producers cash in Money in the Bank?

Wouldn't Emma Stone's name be on the card in a fairly big font? Why would they do that on a best picture card? Wouldn't that make it obvious that it was a mistake? I have so many questions and I can't wait to tune in next week and see what happens next.

So are we removing one of the L's from the Hollywood sign and flying it to La La Lands front office?

Third was ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wait really? {Spoiler}Like yeah warm fuzzy soft feelings and it felt like it was in the right course of direction. But abrupt is exactly what it was. Like it almost felt like the movie literally ran out of funding.

I thought Moonlight was really good, but it's also a movie I can't ever imagine sitting down to watch again. Once you've seen it, I don't think there's a huge reason to go back.

Between The 3-1 Cavs Comeback in the NBA Finals, Miss America, The World Series, The Election, The Superbowl, and now The Oscars, I think this entire year has been encapsulated as a giant "WAIT WHAT??"

But one movie is an ode to the wonder of Hollywood while the other is a three-generation story about a gay black man living in poverty. I'll go ahead and safely assume the Oscar voters were pretty amped about either choice.
