Now let's talk about this film, which while it was sold as a sequel, it was really more of a glorified pilot of "Power Rangers Turbo" that was actually given a theatrical release. Not to mention it did not follow MMPR: The Movie, so it was its own film. Anyway, like I had noted, it was actually a pilot of the Turbo series that more than likely cost a lot more than how much a single episode costs. Plus, this was shown around the time that Zeo was still on. I will admit that I actually saw this in theaters. It really wasn't a good movie in hindsight. But if I catch it on HBO or something if I am bored, I might check it out. I remember a friend of mine was sick a long time ago, who was also into Power Rangers, and caught it on a local channel at 2 a.m. and he told me that the movie was not good. It has been so long since I have watched it, but I remember the cheesy dialogue like "Good thing you don't need a license to drive a Zord." However, I liked how Jason and Kimberly appeared in it.
What are your thoughts?

I remember I asked my moms to take me to this and she did. It was okay as a kid but as an adult it is essentially a glorified TV movie with the sparkle and shine of the original movie. Kim and Jason was a nice surprise even tho we had just saw Jason in Turbo and got nothing from the dear john letter Kim wrote to Tommy.
All in all if you give it one watch than that is all you need to do.

I caught it on tv around when it first hit and thought it was pretty bad...
and thought the gimmick of a kid is now the blue ranger was stupid pandering...
not to mention the cars theme as whole was not my thing... (especially as I learned later the Sentai series they used was meant to be a parody of Power Rangers didn't help the actual Turbo Rangers series as a whole)

I vastly prefered the megazord battle in this movie compared to the gawd awful nightmare that was the CGI fest from the first.
And divatox cleavage
That's all the positive I have.

At least it's tied to the show's canon as opposed to being its own thing like the 1995 film.

Was this the one that had a little kid that became a full adult size Power Ranger? If so, this was my jumping off point. I do remember Kimberly on a boat or something though.

Never saw it. I don't remember why, but I must have stopped watching Power Rangers after Zeo. It has Kat in it so there is a reason for me to watch it sometime.

Hate how this has the "hey let's put a kid in there to connect with the kids in the audience" cliche

Hate how this has the "hey let's put a kid in there to connect with the kids in the audience" cliche There was a slight reason for that: Big Bad Beetleborgs, which had kid protagonists, was starting to beat Power Rangers in the ratings, so that's what got the producers thinking about a kid hero for it. Didn't work, but that more justifies it than it being random.

Yeah, this was the point for me when Power Rangers wasn't cool anymore. I remember briefly seeing random episodes of later stuff like In Space and such and thinking the turnover in characters and powers was incredibly high. I also very briefly remember Bulk and Skull becoming cops. Now that was a show I'd want to watch.

Probably had as much to do with my age as it did with the movie, but I think I owned every megazord up until In Space, including the stuff like the brontasaurus and turtle that the megazords went into. (Thanks, spoiling Grandma)

Even as a kid, I hated they were adding a kid. I ran into that kid at a Toys R' Us around the time the movie was coming out And passively mentioned how f***ing stupid it was to make a kid a power ranger.
The Villain has awesome cleavage..for what it's worth.

Movie Divatox is the best Power Rangers villain.
Besides Astronema.
Don't you look at me like that.
Also, Justin is the worst Power Ranger and he should feel bad about it.

Some have complained being a pirate she should just go around stealing things...but she's over 100 from what I can gather, and if she's a pirate that long there's two choices: retire and live royally, or look for new options. Also, she's the first main villain of the series (and maybe the only one) to actually try eating the rangers when she had the chance (episode: Honey I Shrunk The Rangers).

If Turbo taught us anything, it taught us that evil pizzas are no match for a simple stoplight.
