What happened to him? How'd the Prince of all Saiyans become someone who refuses to fight while his wife is pregnant? Where was this attitude when Trunks was born?
What happened to the guy who would slaughter villages and blow up planets on a whim? The guy who'd rip off someone's arms and then blow them up with a laugh as they fled, who'd willingly put the universe at stake for a good fight?

He found peace during Majin Buu, something he didn't have when Trunks was born.
Even still, He acts all Tsundere in Super.

Yea I can not even really get into Super. I guess it is the animation that is a stickler for me.
However, I did like some of the episodes I watched and it generally does get favorable reviews

Yeah they kind of turn Vegeta into a laugh in Super. He still has his bad ass moments but most of the time it's him doing silly things. It's very off putting.

Veggie knows that he has a Super Cyan bargain sale going on with Bra, she was conceived after he achieved Super Saiyan God and that means that she can hit that limit easily.

Let's not forget that in Super itself, Vegeta mercilessly killed Captain Ginyu with one attack. So yeah, he may be a proper dad with a baby girl these days, but he will kill you without a second thought.

Funny part is, I think current Vegeta is actually stronger than current Goku (or at least was when the series/Resurrection of F started)

I do kinda like how they've tried to add more merciful elements to him, but I don't like him pretty much getting "Buu saga Gohan'd". I still feel like some moment of redemption or "superiority" will happen for him. I'll admit I'm only watching the English dub of Super and while some parts have been spoiled I've stayed pretty spoiler-free throughout (though I have seen the two films, therefore I know how those sagas play out), so maybe I'm missing a bunch more Vegeta-neutering moments. But that's just how I see it. Resurrection F spoilers: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{RESURRECTION F SPOILERS}
When I saw Resurrection F (having avoided spoilers from the Japanese release), I thought it was going to end with Vegeta getting the final shot on Frieza, and it looked like they were building that way. I LOVED that movie, but damn did the end of that leave a sour taste. And it wouldn't have been that bad had they not build it up to look like it was going that way. And what a HUGE moment for the character that would've been. Sure, Goku was cheap-shotted, but Vegeta finally getting the kill on someone who had haunted him and oppressed him, his father, and his people (sure Goku has some pride in being a Saiyan, but nowhere near Vegeta's level), saving the Earth and likely many other worlds, all while Goku couldn't get the job done (not due to a lack of power, but all the same)...that would've been HUGE. |

That's what I look forward to the most in the upcoming tourney Naw, Goku has been ahead of Vegeta since even way back during Resurrection F. Don't forget Vegeta only had an advantage against Freeza because Goku had already tired him out and exposed all his weaknesses. And then during the Goku Black arc, Vegeta kept getting sandbagged. |

Maybe they have explained these things and I missed it, but I have a few questions:
1) Why don't they hop in the time chamber to train for a year? They can always take in a year's supply for everyone in capsules.
2) Is resurrecting people to use in the tournament out of the question? Pikkon would be useful here.
3) Why are they at least not telling the other participants what's on the line? I get not telling the kids, Bulma, or Videl, but they need people to be properly motivated.
4) How is there only 28 planets with mortals on them in the whole universe? There seems to be more types of aliens in Frieza's forces than that. Besides, even though Planet Namek is gone there is a new Planet Namek out there.

You're not the first to ask about that though, as someone had suggested of all things bringing Cell in for the fight instead of a Roshi or Tenshinhan, considering Cell would have some Saiyan pride and would want to redeem himself fighting wise (not personality wise) like Vegeta in the early days of Z. 3)I'm thinking they're waiting until the entire team is gathered and alone to know this first. Though I have a feeling Goku may let it slip with 18 going by the next episode's preview. 4)Well, the amount of aliens in Freeza's forces could mean they're just refugees of that race. After all, the Saiyans were part of the group and they didn't have a homeworld anymore. Plus, combine Freeza's eradication and conquest, whatever Buu did in the ancient past, Beerus' recent wake up and destroying planets whose food he didn't care for, the war between the Galactic Patrol and the remnants of Freeza's forces, and the shockwaves from the Beerus/SSG Goku fight destroying worlds, while it still seems like a low number it is feasible. |
