Today, which do you prefer French Fries or Tater Tots?
I fully expect this thread to reach 100 pages by this time tomorrow after being locked up for the most hateful, vitriol arguments we've ever seen.

Depends on where the fries are from....but for tater tots, you CANNOT beat Sonic Drive-In (here in Southern California).

I have tater tots far less regularly than french fries, but I tend to like them more. A really good tater tot is divine.

Fries have more variance in quality and flavor.
Tater Tots are pretty much all teh same as the majority of places just buy them made as they are more trouble than they are worth to make from scratch.

Fries are better but they're gamble. You're far more likely to get awful fries. Unless the wheels have really come off you can't get a bad tater tot.

Tots and its not even close.
Anything you can do with fries is better with tots. Carne Asada fries are the shit, but Totchos are better.

Probably worth noting that Tater Tots are nowhere near as universal as Fries.
With that said, went for Fries with the caveat that proper chip shop chips are better than thin fries.

I've been pro tot since 99.
In 04 for 6 weeks I went on the anti tot side of things because they needed to be taught a lesson.
Since then I have returned to my pro tot stance that I'm most known for and I've never been happier.Coincidence? I think not.
