I can but I shave. My beard gets very itchy after not shaving it for about a week. I use to run a mustache in high school but shaved it off when I got to college.

I do not like shaving. I mean, I seriously dislike it. Besides, my wife has grown to like it. She gets disappointed when I trim it down. Also, the cat loves the beard. I don't know if cats with hair like face rubs as much as he does, but he really gets into them.
I do not like, however, the fact that basically the only white hairs I get are in my beard. Many people assume I am 10 years younger than I am except right before I trim the beard and the white really comes in. I suppose if I colored it I could always pass as younger, but why bother? It's not like I need to impress any ladies out there and the one I do want to impress knows how old I am.

I keep stubble. Clean shaven every day is a thing I don't enjoy doing... So stubble it is.

No beard because I'm a woman. Double, because I work in the spa industry. If I don't so much as pluck one stray hair , the esthetician will chase me around the spa with some goop and waxing strip cooing "I can get that for you!". BTW- leg waxing is effing painful. All you guys do is a tiny area compared to two thighs!

I look and feel much better when I'm clean-shaven.

I shave when I feel like it but if I let it grow I look like a feral hobo. It's all patchy and different length.
I'm fine with that.

Thanks to my "great" genetics, when I grow out my facial hair it basically looks like this: So, yeah, I am clean shaven because it's either that or look stupid. At least being clean shaven shows the sweet scar on my chin from a car accident and makes me look tuff as eff.

I want a beard.
My face doesn't cooperate though, so I just have a Jericho-like chin thing.

if I have a beard? it's not particularly long and it's because I was too lazy to shave.
IF I'm clean shaven because I have really sensitive skin and beards irritate the hell out of it.

I really don't care for the current trend with beards, especially those knuckleheads who have that nice short parted hair along with a mangy looking beard.
Back when I had long hair, a beard was fitting. Nowadays though, I usually shave once or twice every couple weeks. I can get away with my stubble. I still get compliments on looking like I'm in my early 20's anyways.

I immediately started growing a mustache as soon as I got out of high school, partly to cover up a scar on my lip and partly to pay homage to two of my heroes - Tom Selleck and Rick Rude. After a year, though, I got tired of trimming it and went with stubble all through college. When Rude passed, I grew the mustache back as a tribute. Then about 10 years ago I decided to grow a full beard just for the hell of it, and haven't looked back since.

I've had facial hair ever since I could first grow it at like age 14. First I had a goatee and then when I was 27 I grew it into a full beard.
I can't imagine not having it. It's just part of how I look.

I went 2 years or so without shaving. I think I look fatter in the face clean shaven and a decade or so younger. However now I need to keep as close to clean shaven as possible so I can have a good seal with my CPAP machine.

I grew a beard out during No Shave November back in 2015 and I have kept it ever since. Always had trouble growing it (mostly in the area between the edge of my mustache and hair on my chin). I finally got it then and I decided to keep it. I trim it up every two to three weeks. It makes my face look slimmer too.
