Not sure if it's considered a "bad game" or not, but I never see it talked about. I have very fond memories of Little Nemo: The Dream Master. I had never heard of this game until I noticed every video game cover musician was playing the theme. I figured that a title like that had to reach all of these folks somehow, and it must be because it's good. So I bought it in a whim and am damn glad that I did.

Never knew that People thought Rygar was bad I should clarify that a lot of people I've heard this complaint from said it due to the difficulty and not being able to save. For a game of it's complexity, it is unexcusable to not have a battery. That said, I don't think that's a solid argument to say the game is bad, as much as it's just flawed but even so, I think a lot of people developed that outlook because of what they considered a game they had little likelihood of beating.

The Goonies II.
Confusing as heck, but I think it's one of the most interesting Metroidvanias out there.
Would love a remake.

I actually don't mind Back to the Future at all. I get the hate, but I found it enjoyable. Same with Nightmare on Elm Street and Wolverine. In fact, I feel the hatred on LJN is for the most part undeserving. There were worse companies in this era with far worse licensed titles (almost every single THQ game for the NES is trash) The one thing people don't realize is that LJN only published the games. Beloved game publisher Rare made most of them.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on NES. I loved it as a kid, and played it so much that even the water level wasn't too difficult. But now I absolutely suck at it.e. I never had a problem with the Dam level. I was surprised when I got on the internet and found that everyone thought it was one of the hardest things ever. I have no idea what people consider bad games A bunch of the ones listed in this thread I've generally not heard anyone say anything bad about though. Like Monster Party, Rygar or Little Nemo. I never really liked Castlevania 2... but I didn't really think it was terrible. One that used to get a lot of flak mostly for being different than the rest of the series and admittedly it's difficulty at times is The Adventures of Link, which I really like. I think I might have gotten past that level like twice. It was such a buzzkill. I liked the game, but that level would stop me dead in my tracks without fail.

It was the crap after that that made me rage quit and pop in Ducktails instead.

Rygar was released in 1986. Having a battery was not common at all during that time. You can continue after you die, which is pretty fair for the time. It can be passed in under 2 hours easily. This is less time than TMNT or a lot of games that did not offer a battery save or password system.

I find Wall Street Kid to be a fun game now that Im an adult. As a kid I didnt understand it at all and remember crying 20 minutes into it after I used my 1 video game rental of the month on it.
But its fun to play a couple hours here and there. Ive never beaten it though, so I still hate the f***ing Uncle in the game.
