Good, I was wondering about all those loose ends.
At least the days of crappy direct to DVD sequels are mostly done.

I hope Elsa is gay. The reaction alone would be worth it.

But more importantly, what song will be drilled into our heads the next 5 years?

I really wish these studios could cut down on the turnaround time for these sequels. I really believe this is one of the reasons why How to Train Your Dragon 2 underperformed compared to the first one. The eight year old girl that fell in love with the original Frozen is gonna be drastically less interested in Frozen 2: The Quickening when she's fourteen.

Wonder what character will turn heel out of nowhere this time around. I'm still partial to the theory that the trolls are responsible. The little bastards have magic and had the motive to make Hans evil.

Didn't both HTTYD films make double their budget back? I think the second one just underperformed slightly domestically because it was up against 22 Jump Street.

I loved Frozen, pretty much see no way at all a follow-up can be nearly as good. Could still very easily be good, but it's going to have this totally unnecessary feel about it pretty much no matter how you slice it. Plus I can easily see a sequel greatly scaling up the focus on the trolls or Olaf, who are the, "I'll tolerate them because they're there for the kids," aspect of the first one for me. I hope Elsa is gay. The reaction alone would be worth it. I wish, but Disney would never have the guts to do it. Guarantee she's getting a guy love interest this time around.

I'm assuming the second one will introduce another character with elemental powers. It is all just an elaborate prequel to Avatar

They've been working on Gigantic for several years now and.........yup, pushed back for Frozen 2.
Pushed back again, as Wreck It Ralph 2 was fast tracked to fill its 2018 spot.
It'll probably be pushed back for the Frozen and Wreck It Ralph live action remakes at this point, too.

Nothing is off limits in new Disney. So long as there is potential money, they will make it so. Also, they made a character gay in Beauty and the Beast. So, pretty sure this is the direction they'll go.

From what I remember the second Dragons movie made less domestically then the first. No dramatically less, but enough for people to notice. Considering the second one had more hype to it I think internally it was expected to outperform the first one. I personally believe that it was so long between movies that they wound up aging out some of their audience.

I want the sisters and Olaf to rescue a kidnapped Kristof after a murky deal with northern fur traders goes awry. The sisters kickass Taken style. Kristof is a shady mountain ice trader. I am sure he had some bad deals go down. We don't know much about his business.
Either that or the Southern Isles invade in response to Hans' embarrassment and the sisters are generals and it's a war movie.
I want Elsa as a badass warrior queen, not as a love interest.

Yeah, but it was about the most inconsequential yet still somewhat notable character they could get away with and from what I've heard they're completely wink-wink-nudge-nudge about it the whole time. Rather different from the mascot of pretty much the top money-making machine they've got who's the heroine to pretty much all little girls presently in existence.
