To be fair in terms of Gundam, the "hardcore fan" we are talking about here have a massive boner for the UC universe series and tend to look down on all of the AU Gundam series, you know the series primarily designed to get non-Gundam fans into Gundam because they aren't tied down to all the bullshit of the UC universe. G Gundam is massively loved by the non-UC universe fanboys. I don't know. You may also throw in fanatics of Iron Blooded Orphans to the gray; they gush endlessly about it and look down on those who have issues or just didn't like it. Well, it is the closest any series was to UC Gundam in tone (heck, I could totally see it as part of later UC with just some minor tweaks), so there must be quite some overlap there. Also, it must be the first Gundam series for a lot of people and then going back and watching the others and expecting something similar... yeah not really gonna happen with most of the recent shows (heck, did AGE and G no Rec even air outside of Japan? Cause IBO did).

I agree with the perception people look at you stupid when you say you liked Super Mario Sunshine. I've logged many hours into that game & am finally glad that Odyssey will return to the adventure format.

Then they should check themselves as Mika IS a sociopath. I like Mari Okada's scripts though (Toradora! is favorite of mine).

Terminator Genesys. I personally loved it. The best one since the Jim Cameron films.
I just don't understand the hate.

I really don't understand the hate for Pirates 4.
It fixed all of the problems the third one had, it did everything people wanted them to do and then people whined that it didn't have the things people wanted them to get rid of.

Speaking from my own point of view, I felt it just wasn't very good. It was dull, the supporting characters were forgettable, and Johnny Depp gave his least inspired performance as Jack to date. Barbossa was pretty much the only saving grace, IMO.

Tokyo Drift.
The lead character had a lot better redemption arc than Paul Walker's character's "I'm an asshole, now I'm a cop, now I'm an asshole, now I'm a cop, now I'm an asshole again" routine. I don't think he should have been working with the police or government between the end of 1 and getting his clean slate at the end of 5, but they just needed some excuse for him to bump into Dom again.
Also Han was better in this film than the rest.

Live Free or Die Hard.
Despite all the positive reviews and the positive average rating on IMDB, it still seems to be trashed by a lot of fans. I know people have trashed A Good Day To Die Hard, which I will admit wasn't a good film at all. As for the fourth film, people still talk crap about it. The way I see it is that in comparison to the previous three films, it pales because John McClane went through amazing feats that he didn't go through in the previous ones. However, I believe that if it didn't have Die Hard in the title, then it would have been well-regarded.
The fifth one, however, if anybody likes it, good for them. That movie had issues, but if I were to watch it if I had nothing better to do, then it wouldn't be so bad.
