Since I don't sleep that much what better way then watching another great movie
We all know about the great theme song
Many people will say the movies sucks without the blood but I will always disagree with that.
Also the movie version of Kano made its way to the game years later
Now the sequel I remember when I first rented it I couldn't believe how bad it was

For what it is, (a PG-13 Mortal Kombat movie) it's not half bad. Had about everything a 90s action movie had at that time. Kick ass theme song, some good special effects (for their time), and some good fighting scenes. It's not a blockbuster but it's by all means not an awful movie. It's honestly one of the best video game adaptation movies compared to how bad some of them are.
Now Mortal Kombat Annihilation, that movie SUCKS.

Meh movie but I can't hate it on for having an awesome soundtrack that featured Napalm Death.

The only other video game-based movie that I can recommend is the first Silent Hill flick.

Meh movie but I can't hate it on for having an awesome soundtrack that featured Napalm Death. The soundtrack was indeed awesome. I bought it for the main dance theme that played during the commercials (and during the film's credits), but it's incredible eclectic. It introduce me to many genres I'd never heard of previously, and made Type O Negative one of my favorite bands. The dance mix for "Goodbye" by Gravity Kills was damn good. I bought the band's self-titled debut on the strength of that song, only to discover that Gravity Kills is in fact an industrial rock band. I ended up enjoying their album, even though it was not what I expected.

That was one of my old threads. It didn't pan out the way I wanted it to, but I would be lying if I said that I didn't think it was funny.

It's this film that I'm convinced has led to the absurd levels of Johnny Cage fandom that I can NEVER understand. WISECRACKS!
Mortal Kombat X was worse because all the more outlandish/interesting characters were shoved to the side for Cage, Sonya and their boring Mary Sue offspring. Yeah, I'm bitter.
For what is essentially "Enter the Dragon" with monsters, the first MK film still holds up though. Some cool action and just generally a well done video game movie, which is a rarity even now.

It kept to its source material for the most part with one of the greatest soundtracks of all time...that opening theme is nothing short of legendary.
And it was as close to getting this in movie form we got....but I STILL want this as a full fleged movie

When I watched at the theater and the ending song kicked in, a bunch of dudes in the audience screamed "MORTAL KOMBAT" at the same time as the song.
I liked it. It's a product of its time but is still one of the best fighting tournament type video game adaptations.
Also Ken was in Blood In Blood out.

It was the best possible version you were gonna get of it. It's aged pretty terribly in some spots, but hell it was always a corny cheesefest, so it's still fun.

It's aged horribly but I thought it was totally kick ass as a kid.

Also Ken was in Blood In Blood out. yes he was. Vatos Locos forever, carnal! unfortunately, he was not in Mortal Kombat, so it has nothing to do with this discussion
