That said, Social Justice Warriors is a dopey term. Once it's invoked, I sorta automatically snooze on the argument. Yeah, not to mention it's been used so much that it has lost entirely all meaning.

While there does seem to be an element of people online who treat outrage over anything, no matter how trivial, as their profession, for the most part, "Social Justice Warrior" is just a term assholes use to defend bigotry and marginalise opponents of it.

Odd as it may sound, I'm proud that FAN refused to take such obvious bait. well you cant get pizza ovens wet as that tends to break them (and only wizards want to break things intentionally, not sure if they like pizza or not though.) But you've got to throw water onto the ovens, how else do you get them to short circuit? And when they short circuit, they smoke, the smoke goes up into space, and that's where stars come from.

Sid Justice Warriors are ok with me. Boy. If any two people should have ever tried to debate one another... Warrior: (Ten minutes of garbled nonsense) Moderator: ...Mr Justice, your rebuttal? Sid: I would need twice as many brains as I have to buttal that! Moderator: ...Okay. Well- Scott Steiner: Now you see, as a Genetic Freak, I have twice the number of brains as a normal man! And if you subtract that by Sycho Vicious's 35% brains- Moderator: (Drinks heavily from an unmarked bottle)

I am in full agreement with you on that. I automatically tune out whenever I see someone use it in all seriousness. It's one of those terms that gives you a crystal clear image of who you're dealing with should they choose to use it.

The term people are looking for is "overly sensitive"
It's VERY present on any side of any cultural divide.
See also -
Boycotting Starbucks over the design of the cups.
Boycotting netflix over a show they haven't seen yet (doubly hilarious because the movie its based on has been on Netflix for ages).
All the boo-hooing over the superbowl ads this year.
The supposed "War on Christmas."
The list goes on...
The idea of a "Social Justice Warrior" JUST being for people on one side of the divide is just stupid and shows how overly-sensitive the opposing side is that they really think their skin isn't just as thin.

From personal experience, the people who are most often the type to use terms like "special snowflakes" or "safe spaces" derisively against people taking offense to something are some of the most thin-skinned and prone to ridiculous, hyperbolic outrage over offenses people I know.
Two sides of the same coin of out-of-proportion outrage.

Two sides of the same coin of out-of-proportion outrage. I usually have nothing but pity for those people. They're trying so hard to rile someone up in the vain attempt to stand out and have this sort of dominant alpha persona, when they themselves turn out to be the weakest of them all.
