Back to the original point....I look at Social Justice Warriors like this.
The REAL Social Justice Warriors; the people that are out in the streets, marching, protesting, getting tear gassed and beaten for standing up for their/other people's rights. THEY are Social Justice Warriors, and they deserve much respect for fighting the good fight.
Now, as for the people most people think of when they think of "Social Justice Warriors" (which I refuse to even call them that anymore, as it's a disrespect to those who really ARE out there doing the right thing)....well, I think SNL summed it up perfectly a month or so ago....

Why does it have to be warriors? Why can't someone be a social justice wizard or a social justice rogue for once? I swear everyone chooses the same class and it just become less fun that way. Social Justice Wizards hide in the back so they can cast spells without being seen. Social Justice Rogues hide so they can't be seen. Social Justice Warriors are the ones in the front attracting all of the attention. Social Justice Bards must be the worst thing ever.   |

On my PC I changed SJW to DANGLYBITS with that Chrome add-on. Makes the outraged over people being outraged crew look even more pathetic.
I wonder what word I should change cuck to.

This thread makes me want to watch Community, they had Britta, the original SJW. Man that show was streets ahead. I hated that show. Never saw what was supposed to be funny. Sounds like your just streets behind. |

While there does seem to be an element of people online who treat outrage over anything, no matter how trivial, as their profession, for the most part, "Social Justice Warrior" is just a term assholes use to defend bigotry and marginalise opponents of it.Highly disagreed, and I say that as someone who dislikes the term 'SJW'. I disagree simply because everyone seems to have their own definition of what the term 'SJW' means...just about everybody I've seen use it online uses has their own definition of it, and not everyone I've seen uses it the same way. It's also the main reason I dislike the term, that being that it doesn't seem to have a concrete definition and people call each other 'SJW' as an insult over the smallest of things...and that's why I also disagree about the whole 'defend bigotry and marginalise oppoents' thing, as that's the least common use of the term I've seen online. I know by saying all of this the entire forum is going to hate me (going by the amount of likes your post has as well as the other posts in this thread) but I don't feel welcome on the forums anyway...it's why I never express my opinions on anything...as it is I'm holding back right now, as I could easily go on a rant about the types of people in the opening post, but I'm not going to. Hell, I'll even say this: while those types of people in the opening post do annoy me, it also annoys me when they are bombarded with hate. I just wish that people could have their own opinions without being relentlessly attacked. Respectful disagreement and whatnot. And having expressed my opinion now, I just hope that I'm not bombarded with hate. I can see it now...'your definition/opinion of the term 'SJW' is different? You must be one of those assholes who uses the term, as well as terms like 'cuck'.' No, I'm not one of those people. I like the term SJW, if someone tosses the term around, they're generally not worth the effort of interacting with. Not every fight needs fighting and moreoften than not the smart decision is just to shake your head and move along rather than waste your time going round in circles, getting increasingly frustrated with that kind of person.
