On my PC I changed SJW to DANGLYBITS with that Chrome add-on. Makes the outraged over people being outraged crew look even more pathetic. I wonder what word I should change cuck to. I mentally wordfilter it to "stop reading anything this person has to say" whenever I see anyone use it as an insult. |

Okay...just forget I said anything. The only reason I posted that big thing in the first place was that the whole 'SJW' vs 'Anti-SJW' debate and the whole definition of what 'SJW' actually means (since everyone seems to have their own personal definition of the term) confuses the hell out of me, and it's something that's been driving me insane for the last couple of YEARS. And when I saw the thread, the post just sort of happened...so sorry about that.
The last serious thing I'll say on the issue is about the previous posts claiming that the whole 'SJW' vs 'Anti-SJW' thing is political...I don't see how, considering I've come across people who label themselves either 'SJW' or 'Anti-SJW' on ALL sides of politics...it just adds to my confusion.
Anyway...that's all I'm going to say on the matter. Back to your silly joking thread now.

It's just a goofy term all the way around. As a derisive insult it's silly. As a label for positivity it's goony too, because no one is gonna call themselves that if they want to be taken seriously at all. It started out as a meme to parody a certain subset of people who were aggressive with their activism on Tumblr but then somehow morphed into an all purpose insult anytime someone uses basic consideration not to offend anyone; like Chris Pratt did in the OP lol |
