It may have taken me a while longer than I wanted, but I purchased a lovely and cosy 2 room townhouse at a good price. I move in next month

You're going to play this once you get all moved in, right?
Anyway, congratulations! I became one myself earlier this year.

Be a homeowner by 25? ?? well while it helps to live with your parents to save up money and help them around the house, at a certain age it gets to be a little embarrassing. At least to me is all. I wouldn't have minded a condo at all, if condo fees covered utilities

Congrats, brother.
Enjoy it. That's a fine accomplishment, especially in this current housing market virtually everywhere.

I need to pay for electricity, which is especially pricey in the summer when we blast our ACs. But they cover a few things, like water, gas and the overall upkeep of the complex. And I didn't need to worry about the leaky pipe that created a hole in my ceiling last year.

Congratulations, as someone who is part of a married couple with a combined income of $95,000 in a city with an average house price of $1.2 million owning a home is something will probably only achieve through inheritance.

As a home owner, I recommend buying a good toilet plunger to celebrate. Make sure is a toilet plunger instead of a regular plunger. It will bail you out of a crappy situation. A few other things to have on hand:
- Cordless Drill - It doesn't need to be anything fancy. You will be using it all the time. - Mop - Duck Tape - Caulk, Silicone, and a caulk gun
Be sure to know where the water shutoff valves are for everything in the house. It will save you a lot of time in an emergency if you know if there are valves for each faucet verses having to shutoff the main supply.
