Capcom is releasing the 2nd half of the original Mega Man games, releasing games 7-10 on a single bundle.
So basically, another cash grab on a franchise they show contempt for. And only over half the games as their was for the first on it.

I picked up The Legacy Collection on sale recently having never played Mega Man before.
So far I've only played through the second game but I was surprised how much I loved it.

Hopefully they do the same for the X series. Those games are my jam.

I got the Legacy Collection when it was on sale too. It wasn't the best port ever, but I've definitely seen worse.
But this? I'm not sure what they're getting at. Less games, and the majority of them are universally not as beloved as what was in the first collection by the fandom.
Had they thrown in some of the side and spin-off games, maybe it'd be a different story. But I definitely can't justify getting this right here and now.

Atleast 9 and 10 get a physical release but beside that, I don't see the point of it especially when the anniversary collection was better then both of the legacy collection.

I've got the Anniversary collection on PS2 and MM9 and 10 on 360. I'm good.
It would've been a lot more impressive if they included Mega Man & Bass into the mix. The only version of the game released outside of Japan was a really bad GBA port.

I'd really like an X collection too. I played X and X2 more than any other Mega Man game. I think I may have played 3, but I don't think anything past that.
AND HOW ABOUT A GODDAMN SEQUEL TO MEGA MAN LEGENDS. The potential for a modern 3D Mega Man game is just off the charts.

Maybe it will have a nice, low price point since it's only three games (optimism)

Let Mega Man Die already.
I know that the internet has practically made a thing out of "All Video Games Are Mega Man (unless they're a Blizzard game)", but stop dragging that shambling corpse of a franchise out of the grave to attempt to shake some more cash out of it.

Well f***. I just bought the first one a couple months ago when it was on sale, and picked up 9 and 10 at the same time.
Would've waited if I'd known this was coming. They aren't amazing games, but for completionist purposes it would've been nice to have 7 and 8

I've often thought about them upgrading games 1-7 as well as 9 and 10, upgrade the music to from the Power Fighters and graphics to at least what 8 had. We all know Wily's iconic theme, well here it is when remixed
Screw the purists who complain about it not being 8 bit, their doing as much damage to the franchise as Capcom's laziness.

If you still got a PS2 or a GC, (or a backwards-compatible Wii), they did make MegaMan X Collection for those systems. It's the first six games in the series, though I'd personally say only X-X4 are worth playing out of those six. X5 was a pretty big step down and X6 was just terrible, though it did have a few good tracks on its OST. They also had a really solid 2.5D remake of the original MMX for PSP called Maverick Hunter X. Not entirely sure if they made it playable on the PSN via PSTV or PS3, but if they did it's worth checking out. There was also an X7 and X8 for the PS2. X8 was a pretty solid game and easily the best game in the series since X4. X7... the less said about it the better. And a turn-based RPG called Command Mission for the PS2 and GC which was a little weird but decent. I wish MML3 didn't get canned because cacpcom.

Being the Megaman fan I am, I got X7 and...it almost made me not get X8, which would've been the first Megaman title I would've missed out on. Glad I ended up getting it though, cause like you said, it was somewhat a return to form for the series. Command Mission was fun, and has my favorite X design. The party they give you reminded me a little of some of the .hack cast, which gave it bonus points in my book. I'm still really bummed that we're never getting MML3. It looked amazing

I'm kinda disappointed that it's only four games. They could've at least thrown in the Power Battles arcade games as well or even the decent racing game. I'd even settle for Megaman Soccer.

You'd think they would have included them, or even The Game Boy game with the Stardroids. But nope, more lazyness and cheapness that we've come to expect from Capcom
