I'd personally give Nintendo an A simply for Metroid Prime 4. Took them long enough but, no point complaining about it anymore.

This is Nintendo basically going "We're working on it, stop talking to us about it!" and at the same time going "Guys, we have live streams, this is only a sample."
I mean, this isn't the first time they did this but Nintendo have been doing E3 mostly right for the past few years. Show what you need to, get them to watch for more and have them wondering about other stuff.
Not mind blowing but good stuff.
Ok, that's a lie Oddessy looks goddamn bonkers.

So, so far (haven't seen Nintendo yet) Sony's looked better imo. Considering getting the Pro soon so I can finally check out everything I can't get on PC.

I feel like I should be more excited for Metroid II - I got it for free as a kid via a Kool-Aid promotion, and it was one of my favorite games on the system. It's a shame the long-requested Metroid II remake is stuck on 2011 hardware that has ugly jaggy graphics. The GBA games, Fusion and Zero, still look good because they use the 2D sprite style that hides the weaknesses of the GBA. This just looks really outdated before it's even out. Metroid and Pikmin are some of my top favorite franchises, things I wanted to play on Switch with all its visual splendor and power capabilities. While it doesn't appeal to me as much, at least there's Prime coming out on Switch. Definitely shows Nintendo has not given up on Metroid.
I am blown away by Mario Odyssey. I have no idea what to make of it other than feeling happy that Nintendo are going to really try something new with Mario. They've done this more times than they've been given credit for, but they're ESPECIALLY doing it now. I love the sprite-to-3D stuff, too. I'm excited for it!
A new by-the-book Kirby is okay with me. I still think they should just use high-res 2D art for Kirby, though. Especially since they've done this style several times in a row. Still, the Wii game was only 3 players and this one looks to be up to 4, which is especially awesome due to Switch's ability to carry 4 joycons around with relative ease. Definitely going to be buying this one. The new Yoshi game looks kinda interesting. It's like Little Big Planet's style mixed with Yarn Yoshi, which was already pretty much that. Nothing mind-blowing, but it's on my radar.
Not Nintendo, but the new Sonic Mania gameplay footage IGN posted reaffirmed how awesome that game is going to be. A freakin' Death Egg Robo-Robotnik chasing Sonic through Green Hill!? Alright, sign me up.
Those new Metroid and Mario Odyssey Amiibo are amazing. You just know so many couples are going to get that as their wedding topper, haha. I freakin' love the Metroid ones (and the upcoming Pikmin one).

The Project AM2R cease and desist suddenly makes a lot more sense with the 3DS remake reveal. Zero Mission is legit my favorite game in the series after Super and the first Prime, so if the 3DS remake is even half as good as that game, it will be very quality. Just, like Metroid Prime 4, keep Yoshio Sakamoto far away from the story.

So I know it's old news by now but I was only just made aware of Devolver Digital's "presentation" and I really don't get why people love it so much. It's the same kind of uninspired jokes and criticism people have been making about the gaming industry for years, with an added layer of tryhardism (that's a word, right?).
But what really baffles me about it is them taking the piss out of early access, and everyone going on about how genius that is... when Devolver Digital has been releasing games on early access for years, and they are showing no sign of stopping as SCUM will be one of them.
Than again, I suppose it did sum up Devolver Digital in a nutshell: mildly interesting but nowhere near as clever or innovative as it thinks it's being, trying way too hard to be edgy, has more style than substance and reeks of hypocrisy.
