Sorry, so I don't want to crawl through 30 odd pages to find out but why have so many people chossen to hate the movie from the start? Is it because it's a female lead and not the orginal male captain? It's the fact it's a successful action film with a strong lead that isn't a straight white male, nothing more to it than that. See the similarly failed attempts to manufacture a backlash and review bombing campaign against Black Panther. There's a whole bunch of septic stupid out there on the internet.

Is it because it's a female lead and not the orginal male captain? Brie Larson called for more diversity in her press junkets, citing that she wanted to hear feedback from her movies' target audiences and not just middle-aged white male critics, something film journalists around the world reflected on for half a second and said "You know what? She's absolutely right." Triggered incels and their ilk, on the other hand, screamed from the rooftops "BRIE LARSON HATES WHITE MEN AND DOESN'T WANT WHITE MEN TO SEE THIS MOVIE" and tried to get a mass boycott of the movie going, telling people to go see Alita: Battle Angel instead.

both Lizuka #BLM and Mighty Attack Tribble are correct but There is also bits like one of the things that made Carol's initial Captain Marvel run super popular was due to writer Kelly Sue Deconnick who is an outspoken feminist and someone that helps push for visibility for more women that are in the comics industry and the like. (Kelly also helped in the writing of the movie, and was in the movie) Which as you might imagine would anger the same type of people that would flip out over Brie not wanting to only speak to white dudes in her press junkets.

Also remenmber some of these same voices have been critical of Marvel's attempt to introduce new and diverse characters into the comic universe over the past decade. Now with the original Avengers probably bowing out after Endgame a new diverse set of heroes are getting set to take their place in the MCU.

What would be the post-end game roster?(assuming all the OG retire?) Doctor Stranger,Guardians,Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ant-Man(?),Spider-Man(?). Then you still have possibvle returns from Fox like Wolverine ,Deapool and Fantastic 4.

What would be the post-end game roster?(assuming all the OG retire?) I think Evans and RDJ are the only actors likely to be departing. ScarJo has a solo movie with the possibility of sequels, and Renner still has a couple of movies left on his contract. Ruffalo has stated he's quite happy to continue as a supporting actor (and Professor Hulk opens up new story possibilities), and Hemsworth is actively pushing for at least another Thor movie. In terms of how the Avengers roster looks going forward, I expect: - Thor - Black Widow - Hulk - Bucky - Falcon - Scarlet Witch - Vision - Black Panther - Spider-Man - Ant-Man I think Doctor Strange will stay off on his own until Fantastic Four and X-Men officially enter the MCU (and if the rumoured reboot of Inhumans happens), and we'll see him head up the Illuminati.

I honestly dont care if Vision returns,he is by far the blandest and his death makes sense not to return.

Given he has a TV miniseries on Disney+ coming up, and Paul Bettany isn't commanding a huge salary compared to the more prominent stars, I expect he'll be a regular in the movies for a while yet.

I’m a little slow here...but two weeks later my brain kicked in and realized that this is where Shield got the Kree blood for Project Tahiti that resurrected Coulson. All full circle.

Finally watched this. It was fun. Not particularly memorable, but a perfectly fun average Marvel movie.
Best parts - Stan Lee's Mallrats cameo, Goose, and the head Skrull (Talos?)

It's not going to get acknowledged by anyone because of the bitter Marvel Movie/TV divorce but even so...neat!

I don't think so. GH-235 came from the "Guest House" Kree, which was found centuries before the events of Captain Marvel. marvelcinematicuniverse.fandom.com/wiki/G.H.

All it means though, is that Fury and Coulson must not have had much clearance at all at this point considering the treasure trove that Shield has behind the scenes.

Somebody on a Reddit discussion had an idea similar to the POGS idea that for the home media release, they should release a combo pack with a VHS copy of the movie which would be amazing in itself although I’m sure we’ll see the VHS element on most likely the Best Buy steelbook. When the anthology horror movie V/H/S 2 came out they offered up a Blu-Ray/DVD/VHS combo set so it's feasible.

I absolutely hated this movie, I find Brie a stupendously boring actress and the plot was entirely predictable and routine.

Apparently there’s being revealed that Captain Marvel had another connection to Agents of Shield besides Coulson. It’s odd that it was brought up in a Q&A with EVP of Production Victoria Alonso last June but it’s the first time I’ve heard about it until now. Someone brought up the fact that the actor playing the bartender in the scene with Carol and Fury also was the villain Blackout on AOS. She seemed delighted at the question and just responded, “You noticed?”
Marcus Daniels was originally a lab assistant at a lab experimenting with alternative energy resources...you know, like Project Pegasus was doing. His history has him studying science, getting his degree and experimenting with the Darkforce in the early 90’s...around the time the movie takes place. If he experimented with the Darkforce as an energy source, it makes sense that he’d be at Pegasus as an assistant. (Hell, assistants can’t make much...hence the side gig.)

Would’ve also been a good chance to have a younger Agent May as part of Shield.
