Liverpool agree a £4.0m £40m fee for Oxlaide-Chamberlain. Forty f***ing million. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we're splashing the cash but midfield is not an area where Liverpool need many more options. And even if we did, Oxlaide-Chamberlain? I suppose this pretty much confirms Coutinho will be going tomorrow. Ox has always been an alright player, but nothing more. Between his questionable overall contribution and his poor injury record Arsenal will be laughing all the way to the bank. Maybe he'll come into his own at Liverpool, but right now it seems like £40 million doesn't buy you much these days.

I think we are in for a bonkers 24 hours.
There could be a lot of movement tomorrow with a lot of big names on the move.
I'm excited.

Liverpool will get most of the AOC money back when they sell Sakho.

Japan have qualified for the 2018 World Cup with a 2-0 win over Australia.
Australia now have to rely on the result of Japan v Saudi Arabia as assistance to any possible result in their final match, at home against bottom of the group Thailand, as they are currently tied for points with Saudi Arabia, but behind on the goal difference tiebreaker...
Australia win? Japan need to win or draw. Australia draw? Japan need to win. Australia lose? Japan need to win with a decent margin to overturn the goal difference tiebreaker.

Oh, what a time to be a gooner. What an absolute shambles August has been for us.......again!
The Liverpool game is the worst I have ever seen them play, and I include the 8-2 defeat to Utd which was really an all time low (although we had a hugely depleated squad that day).
Wenger picked the wrong team and the players couldn't give a shit. We have become a laughing stock. We have no leaders - Koscielny is a great defender but an awful captain but we have no one to replace him. We have f***ing Steve Bould and Mad Jens Lehmann on the bench who should be going apeshit when we play like that (Wenger obviously won't) but they sit there and do nothing!
Don't even get me started on the last 24 hours (a shower of shit) or our owners (same).........

Oh, what a time to be a gooner. What an absolute shambles August has been for us.......again! And it probably won't be getting much better with Sanchez now staying. You're stuck with an unhappy player who is reportedly causing dressing room unrest, and face selling him for cheap in January or losing him for free next summer. It's baffling to me that Arsenal have waited until the end of the window to start doing business. Sanchez and Ox were unhappy and looking to leave months ago, they should have done business to find suitable replacements early in the window and then sell them on if they were still intent on leaving. It's not as if the club can't afford to spend without selling first.

A cross from Ronaldo is cleared to Oliveira who scores for Portugal.
Now that is a sentence I never imagined I would ever type, but there you go...

Liverpool will get most of the AOC money back when they sell Sakho. That's the thing, it's all relative. Andy Carroll was seen as a huge waste for Liverpool, but it's relative. Was he £35 million pounds successful? No, but we'd received £50 million that day for Torres,as well as getting Suarez for £23 million so it wasn't as absolute a disaster as people made out, we were down by about 8 million, but had an amazing replacement and a squad player for it.

Watching the France/ Netherlands game. This Dutch team is f***ing woeful. What the hell has happened to them? From what I can gather, this period between World Cups has been woeful for them, including missing qualification for a European Championship that had just expanded by half to allow more teams.

Apparently the only way to watch Malta/England on American TV is through ESPN Deportes.
