The BBC’s David Ornstein reports that Alexis-for-Mkhitaryan is a straight swap with no money going to Arsenal. Obviously, I think this is great business for United, but I think Mkhitaryan will benefit from a change of scenery, as well. He’s clearly still a skilled player, but it’s just fallen off for him this season. He started so brightly and until Pogba went down at the beginning of the season, he was one of the team’s better players. Now he can’t keep a cross on the pitch. Mkhitaryan's United career has been long periods of abysmal form punctuated by a month or two of devastating form. Similar to Nani, in a way, though his form would fluctuate more on a game-to-game basis. In the end I think Mkhitaryan is another in a long line of players who are slow to adapt to the pace and physicality of the Premier League compared to the Bundesliga's more efficient, no-fuss style of play.

Oh great. This is like the Brandon Rodgers thing all over again. Richarlison definitely won't stick about as it was Silva that convinced him to come. That also said, it really seems Silva has lost the locker room and our forms been awful since the Everton story.

Arsenal have done very, very well to get Mkhitaryan in a straight swap for a Sanchez with just 6 months left on his contract. Be very interesting to see how Sanchez gets on at United. No doubting he's a fabulous player but I can't think of a player that less fits into a Mourinho side.

Leeds should go back to their rose design. The one they used from the mid-80's to the late 90's.

No doubting he's a fabulous player but I can't think of a player that less fits into a Mourinho side. I'm more interested in the ego clash. Sanchez pretty much ran the show in North London because Wenger's a bit of a pushover who lets people get away with murder. Mourinho won't let him get away with the tantrums he constantly threw in an Arsenal shirt.

Can't wait to see England in B League.
Finland actually had some luck with the draw, head coach Markku Kanerva wanted Estonia, Greece and Hungary and got them.

The new Leeds badge looks like a Cena t-shirt. I’m glad they’re reconsidering. A club with history like Leeds does not deserve an abomination like that as its badge. It reminded me of the ridiculous old Columbus Crew badge.

Alexis had a good run out in his United debut today, setting up two goals, but he only got credited with one assist because the Yeovil Town defending was abysmal on the Rashford goal.

VAR getting a real workout at the Liverpool/WBA game. Not a fan of the time it’s taking to make these decisions but it’s got them right so far in this match.

After God knows how long, Beckham's Miami MLS team is finally official.
Meanwhile, the Eleven are playing at Lucas Oil Stadium. No more porta-potties!

Well we were shite last night,
But today we've signed Aubameyang and Ozil has signed a new contract woohoo. I'm a bit gutted about losing Giroud though, I've always felt he's been criminally underrated for us.
