2007 Great American Bash Cruiserweight Open a Leprechaun, a Chinese cowboy, a punk rocker, a redneck, a Japanese man and a Mexican walk into a bar.... The match that killed the CW division.... well the winner did, anyway. Sad because the match itself is otherwise solid, and Jimmy Wang Yang has one of the better moonsaults in the biz. Can only imagine the outrage now if JWY came out with the Confederate flag in his intro video, as he had here. JBL on commentary was no help, but he was right when he said "What kinda stereotype is that??"

Miz vs Primo - with Carlito & John Morrison on guest commentary. (ECW. March 09/March 10 - 2009) I refuse to watch it again in case it doesn't hold up but Meltzer gave this 3 and a half stars I think. John Morrison: (to Carlito) you know NOTHING About the power of the abdominal reigon. Jomo and Carlito's bickering is epic, so if you don't like the wrestling, just listen to them. The match itself had a really fast pace and was solid from a technical standpoint, but I'm having more fun listening to the announce table. (though Morrison calls the Colons "Cuban" and makes a couple of bad jokes there too) Oh, and the Bella Twins were there for.... reasons.

The Dream Team vs The British Bulldogs at WM2. That's a lot of ga-ga for a straight up tag match. and Kathie Lee sounds - hell KNOWS - she's in way over her head. Thankfully this is before all the "uh ohs" started popping in. This was the night that more or less did in Dynamite, wasn't it? that last fall sounded painful....

How about Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio at Elimination Chamber 2014. Since we know you were there, I want to know what this match was like as far as the vibe in the audience. Yes I was there, and just like the rest of the crowd we really couldn't care much about this match. I'm trying to remember if this was my bathroom break match or not, I blanked on the fact ADR went out there hurt. There's nothing wrong with this match. We just didn't want to see it

I remember it was in Canada so yeah I think it would the one. It was in Edmonton. For confirmation, Raw 5/27/2002 Edmonton, Eddie v RVD Ladder match for the IC title was the main event. JR: "You almost have to feel sorry for the ladder in this match, too.... another inanimate object in your life" king: "What does that mean?" Motivated RVD and intense Eddie makes for an excellent match. The fan interference threw them for a little bit and the slip on Rob's 5* off the ladder , I feel, added to the story that these two WERE beating the crap out of each other. You can hear the mix of "RVD!" and "ECW!" chants as this match progressed. Didn't Jeff Hardy leave them any extra ladders?

Monday Night Raw November 25 2002 Rob Van Dam vs Shawn Michaels Yay, more Zenmeister (for the record, this is ALSO the show where Jericho and Christian lost their gear to the Dudley boyz... and their dignity to Spike) Shawn needed to fire whoever was designing his tights during this time. This match delivers but I guarantee you they weren't about to put the belt on Rob. Sad that this match was just for some storyline padding for more HHH/HBK.

The Steiners vs. Sting and Lex Luger from WCW Superbrawl 91.
Possibly my favourite tag team match ever. An amazing babyface match in front of a white hot crowd who love both teams.

Kane vs Big Show. Raw. May 8, 2006 The Big Man MAT RASSLIN Match I would have loved to see where this was actually going before the "May 19th!" package popped up. The crowd, sadly, wasn't really into it. I heard a smattering of "boring" chants. Come on, people!

Two really good matches in the same tournament: Edge vs Kane on Raw #625 - May 16 2005 (Watch the post-show also) Shawn Michaels vs Shelton Benjamin on Raw #623 - May 2 2005 I was a huge fan of this era of WWE so I've been going back and watching 2005 episodes. These two matches were epic! If you only watch HBK/Shelton for the finish you're missing the point. This is probably one of the BEST matches even without the spectacular finishes I've watched in a good while. A nice mix of MAT RASSLIN and some storytelling of upstart Shelton against former upstart Michaels Kane/Edge is also a very solid match where two(technically) heels had it out, but Edge being more the trickster cheater who not only steals the match but Kane's wife at the time (Lita)? Yes, both must-watch matches. Thank you for reminding me about these

Edge vs. Jeff Hardy-World Title Ladder Match-Extreme Rules 2009 This is a very underrated ladder match. Typically, Ladder or TLC matches, when one-on-one, have several slow spots where setup is going on and we're not distracted by others in the match doing spots. These two were able to carry this match with a minimum of "Setup time" meshed with "Recovery" time in their quest. The finish with Edge jammed into the ladder, they should do again. Any spot where you land on the inside braces of a ladder can just go away, I don't know how you make that less painful in any interaction with them. And with Jeff nursing a shoulder, I walk away from this match wondering how Jeff has remained intact all these years given some of the insanity in this match, much less many others.

Edge, Foley, and Lita vs Dreamer, Funk, and Beulah from ONS 2006. Such a cool descent into mayhem. I WAS THERE!
And yes, we are a buncha sick bastards. And so is everyone who was involved in that match! Edge and Lita at their sleaziest getting great heat with Foley bringing up the Alliance as a prelude to Tommy/Funk/Beulah coming out to defend ECW's honor. This match - moves, plunder and some "positioning" - was about as ECW as it got that night. Now I understand why people ask me "if you hated Edge so much when he was out earlier, what changed when he crashed a main event?" Folks, if you weren't there you will never understand.... Edge saved New York from an ECW riot.
