Dude pretended to be a "ally to feminist" then took advantage of girls 10 years younger than him to get nudies. Dude's an absolute predator. He's a both a hypocrite and creep and not to mention a lying cheating bastard as well but still not a predator. That being said I do think his public apology is a load of self serving bullshit. Fair enough. I'm just glad people here see him as one. I've seen enough reddit and Twitter post defending the guy saying he did "nothing wrong!!!!!". And I guess he did enough damage to get fired. Not that I intend on watching Cultaholic, but I do hope they can recover whatever momentum is left for them. They don't deserve to be hit for one of their own's f*** up. |

I really wanted them to do well out of this new venture and I can't help feeling it's going to be a hell of an uphill struggle now. Speaking purely personally, I feel I've probably lost a source of content that was a great source of entertainment for me, and I know others will feel the same. So disappointed. |

The thing for me, outside of the events that happened, this is affecting something that doesn’t even have a community yet. It was going to launch (the channel anyway) next week and plans are upside down for that. I saw the Screen Junkies video they did about where things are after having to fire their boss essentially and they talked about having to rebuild trust and be patient with the time that was put in because they’re figuring this whole thing out and want to make a better community. They don’t even have that right now. There are questions they have to answer, who is going to replace Adam (because, let’s be honest here, he was probably going to lead most of the site’s video content) and how they’re going to have to prevent something on what was a small community that nobody knows what it’ll look like. Aside from the victims (who deserve the most sympathy), I feel sorry for everyone else involved. They were forced out unceremoniously from a website they helped make successful, move on to something new, build up anticipation and now because of one guy’s f*** up, they have to start from scratch and there are more questions here than answers. Did any of them know about it? Are there going to be policies to prevent this going forward? Would Adam be brought back (not saying they will, but they need to make it clear he’s not coming back for them to be credible and make a stand)? They should take all the time they need but hopefully something happens soon that allows them to rebuild. |

I just wonder how much content had to be scrapped from this. The Cultaholic launch was supposed to be Wednesday and I'm sure they had plenty of stuff featuring Adam that they now can't use, which depending on how high the production is going to be, could work out to a lot of money lost from videos they can't publish. Has to be a frustrating time for them.
As for whether they should ever bring Adam back, there's plenty of people who would say "no" and I get it; what Adam did was shitty and he should (and I do believe he does) feel horrible for it. But I do think there should be a point where someone deserves a chance to get the help they need and to fix their mistakes. I mean, look at the people who do these kinds of things and never show remorse or regret? Should Adam be lumped in with them for not only admitting to what he did, but willingly (before the firing made it happen) left Cultaholic because of it? I'm not saying he should be allowed to come back tomorrow, next week, next month, or even 6 months from now, but people should be allowed the chance to get better.

At the same time, why would you potentially harm your brand by bringing him back? This was a smart move money/PR wise on their part as they now don't have to deal with any fall out or answer uncomfortable questions.

Talking turkey, Plumpy was far and beyond the most popular guy. I think this Cultaholic thing could ultimately prevail but they're probably going to have to give it some time and start off big without acknowledging any of this.

First and foremost what he did was wrong morally and religiously...what he did also is not illegal...He should never be considered a pedophile regardless of the age difference...If he is so was Hugh Hefner and countless other people that use notoriety to get what they want...Also these girls of legal age and from what has been said knowingly knew he had a significant other and engaged and supplied...Two sides to every story...I am not condoning his actions but at the same time he is not Jared from Subway he is Adam the idiot boyfriend that most college girls have met...Some never grow up

Regardless of it being legal or not, it was unethical.
It was the right call for Cultaholic to cut ties with Plumpy. The site is set to launch soon, and they don't need the bad press. I know his fans are angry, but this needed to be done for the future of the site.
I wouldn't be against rehiring him in the future, but that really shouldn't happen. It could start the bad press all over again.
I'm disappointed in him. He was supposed to be one of the good ones.
