Just finished watching Season Two. Really looking forward to Three. I have one hope. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I hope the Byers family, especially Will, have a bit of an easier time. They’ve gone through so much so far, give them a break next time. Also just found out that Millie Bobby Brown is English and a Liverpool fan. The club sent her a personalised shirt with Millie and or course, the number eleven on the back.

Apparently s2ep1 had 15MM viewers...according to Netflix. According to Nielsen who tracked the numbers against Netflix's wishes. Netflix is probably gonna say the number was higher because they don't release their show's viewership publicly.

Excellent season. Not QUITE as good as the first one, but still very satisfying and fun to watch. I will agree that Episode 7 is kind of meh, but it is still crucial to the overall story.

Good season. Not as good as the 1st but still great.
Judging on how fast the kids are growing I’m guessing the threat in season 3 will be the monster from that other Netflix series “Big Mouth” 😉

Finally had a chance to watch the final three episodes today, and the show delivered another incredible season. {Spoiler}The amount of fear in my body when Steve was lifting the kids up out of the hole... I thought for sure he was getting the Cole Phelps heroic death.
I know I mentioned my love of Steve earlier in the thread, but he’s just had such a phenomenal turnaround. Dude got his ass kicked in season 1 and realized what a piece of trash he was. His girlfriend was in love with another guy and he didn’t pressure her or become possessive. Dude’s the gold standard at this point for character development. In my dream scenario he joins the police force after he graduates and they pair him up with Hopper. Then my two favorite characters would be teamed up and all would be right in the world.
As for all the new cast this year, I thought everyone was great. I was legit bummed when Bob got killed, Max was a really welcome addition to the party, and Billy.... I don’t know man. I hated that dude until I saw that his dad was an even bigger piece of shit. I don’t know where they go with him next season, but it should be interesting. And Lucas’ little sister was hysterical.
I didn’t love episode 7 (it was just fine), but my really only problem with the story was the detour to Brett Gelman’s house. It’s a fun character and I’m glad Barb’s family got some closure, but my god it was awkward having an adult man giving teens alcohol and encouraging them to f*** in his house. Someone needs to report that shit to the FBI.
The Snow Ball was such a fitting send off to the season. I marked out when Dustin busted out the Farrah Fawcett hairspray, and seeing all the kids being happy for once was a good pallet cleanser. Shoutout to Nancy for being a cool older sister.
All-in-all, I adored the season. My biggest hope for season 3 is that the Byers family can catch a break and Will can just be a normal member of the party. That poor kid deserves a year off from being f***ed with.
EDIT: I forgot to mention the new father/daughter relationship between Hopper and Eleven. It just hit me in all my feels, and I was just dying for them to come together again. Hopper is totally the MVP of this show, in my opinion.

Just finished the season. All in all, I really enjoyed it. I don't think it was quite up to season one, as that kinda came out of left field and just surprised everyone with how good it was, but I still enjoyed it. {Spoiler}Episode 7 was horrible. I was just willing it to end. It seemed so out of place, and such an abrupt change of tone for a series that has never really ventured out of Hawkins and the established cast of characters.
Other than that though, I enjoyed every episode.
I was glad to see Steve's face turn come through. I was also really glad that Bob was a good guy, as I never want to see Sean Astin play a bad guy.
The ball at the end dragged on a bit, but it was cute to see the kids being normal.
If there's a third season, I hope it isn't Will that gets put through the wringer again. He's had his two seasons of terror and they burnt it out of him, let zombie boy live his life now.

I enjoyed this season. So much to like. I didn't mind the episode people are having a problem with. I knew we were going to get some expansion on the new girl and I didn't mind it.
I knew some moments were going to happen when characters would be reunited or had a their defining scene and I still felt little emotional when it happened. Great stuff.
I want to see an full powered adult Eleven. She's like if Jean Grey had to learn how make sense of the world while learning her powers.

Thought the gang was the lamest group of criminals I've ever seen, personally. That episode felt real out of sync with the rest of the show, and really made the pacing few off.
Season 2 was better than I expected, but not as good as the first. I think my main problem was the lack of confrontation with a real villain. The dogs were just not enough to be truly compelling for me.
Really liked the new characters overall, especiallly Bob. Sean Astin is just too likable a guy. Loved that Joyce wasn't just a wreck the entire time, as her performance might've been my least favorite thing about season one.
Thought the direction was interesting, as they tried to weave stuff together quite a bit. Overall was pretty satisfying.

Really nitpicking here, I really enjoyed it but it has bugging me. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}If Dart was part of a hivemind, he shouldn't be able to act on his own will and gently towards the kid no
He also came from Will BEFORE being possessed,so he shouldn't necessarely be part of it anyway

If its in 1984 then next season should coincide with the start of the 'rock and wrestling' era, we can expect to see one of the lads rocking up in a Hulkamania t-shirt. Season 8 will see Grunger Dustin on his way to college I guess.

I really had a hard time finding Dustin to be any sort of likeable.Even many of his "relief" moments were just "please just stop".
Only at the end post-conflict scene he was likeable.

I finally finished this tonight. Enjoyed it a lot, season 1 was a liiiittle bit better, but this was still really good. {Spoiler}I liked all the new characters. Something that had me worried about season 2 is that the new characters would be annoying. Was proved wrong. Max fit into the group well and wasn't the annoying tomboy who all the boys would go crazy over. Bob was just a normal, nice dude who cares for the Byers family. Despite the crazy shit going on, he accepted it. Why did he have to die? ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/sad.png) Totally expected Owens to be a backstabbing dick thanks to Aliens, they totally averted that! Billy is completely nuts and a dick. I expect them to get more into the relationship with his father next season. Those parents seem really freaking weird to me. Speaking of parents, glad they introduced the families of Dustin and Lucas. I thought it was so weird in season 1 how they never appeared or showed up to Will's "funeral". I didn't really care for the Jonathan/Nancy story, but it's good that the resolved the Barb issue. I happen to ship them, but poor Steve got cucked. At least he had super badass moments in this season with the kids. Steve is the best dad. I have no strong feelings one way or the other about episode 7, though I would like to know more about the other kids. Are they all girls? Were some killed? What other kinds of powers do they have? Did their mothers also have a fate similar to El's mother?

A question about Billy {Spoiler}Is the implication that Billy is racist?
It could just be that he just hates nerds/losers or just wants to make Max suffer, but he just pulled the "people like that" card with Lucas

I just finished my second viewing of the season, only I altered the episode order so it went Dig Dug, Lost Sister, The Spy, before resuming the actual order. {Spoiler}Have to say, it flowed so much smoother, that way. There is still the doozy of a cliffhanger to Dig Dug, but it’s clearly established in Lost Sister that the events of Lost Sister and The Spy are happening simultaneously, and there’s enough of a tease with Eleven’s visions that it helps wanting to know the full context of them, so the cliffhanger situation is nowhere near as bad as the Demodog invasion not being touched upon after that cliffhanger.

I don't know what it is, and I can't really put my finger on it, but I've kind of been dreading "Stranger Things 2" since it was announced more than a year ago. The first season was a sleeper hit and massive success, but I felt like it kind of petered out toward the end of the first season. On the whole, I thought it was really good, but I also think the show peaked in the first half and - without spoiling anything - sort of ran out of gas and went off the reservation in the second half. In particular, the third episode might be the best single episode of any Netflix original series that I can ever recall. It's a phenomenal piece of storytelling from beginning to end and it alone is enough to hook you in through the entire season. I just don't know, I really liked the first half of season one, but was kind of letdown by the second half. Instead of being optimistic that they'll capture the success of the first half, I'm curiously pessimistic about the new season. I'll watch it, but I'm going in very guarded so I won't be too letdown if it's a disappointment. Well, I just finished season two and I can safely say I was wrong. I thought season 2 dwarfed season 1. While the first season tailed off toward the end and kind of sputtered to a lackluster conclusion, the exact opposite was the case with the second season. It seemed to get stronger with each passing episode and my interest continued to build and build as the show progressed. The only episode I didn't enjoy - "The Lost Sister" - appears to be fairly unanimously everyone's least favorite episode. But other than one blip, the entire second season was an extremely strong sophomore campaign.

Lost Sister I think would have been better if the gang were less goofy. They were like a "villain of the day" gang of polluters from Captain Planet.
