It seems like so much of Cody's indie juice is tied to the perception of him as a fairly significant BC member.
With Western fans seemingly more or less done with him, and his work supposedly not up to par for NJPW, how much relevance does he have left if NJPW takes the Ibushi match away from him (in order to keep the RoH title on the show), and has Omega kick him out of BC?

His style just hasn't changed from OVW-trained WWE guy. It's significantly different on the indies and his style doesn't mesh well with anyone. And with him being in BC, half the time he tries to play to the crowd just to play heel later on during the match. When you put on a subpar performance against Okada of all people... you might be the issue. The amount of shows where he has defended the title in the main event just felt "heatless" and just a time waster. |
