The closer we get to this show, the more I realize how much heat Okada/Naito is about to be. Omega/Jericho should be tremendous as well.

Jun Kasai being that high seems odd to me, what's he been up to? He was hospitalized earlier in the year and it was very serious. I imagine some of his votes were sympathy ones due to it. |

After rewatching a lot of my favourite matches from this past year, it saddens me that Tomohiro Ishii hasn't gotten anything better than the gauntlet match at this year's show. He was phenomenal in 2017, in my opinion one of the top five best in the world. I understand that there are only so many big spots on a given show and not everybody can have one, but couldn't they at least have given him a match with Zack Sabre Jr for the RevPro title or something?

I can't argue with this, Ishii deserved a singles match at Wrestle Kingdom. He will probably a title shot against Naito, as long as he wins. He needs a title run of some sort, I could actually see him winning the RevPro title since he works over there fairly often. Either way, the guy has been one of the most consistent and best workers in the world. |

Finally they translated Kazuchika Okada's Wonderland appearance. Preferred the Tanahashi one, but did like the translated clips from the World Tag League matches against Naito.

Welp, time to reup my NJ World subscription. Maybe I can keep it and actually watch some stuff for once besides WK. Also, despite having to work on Christmas, I have WK night off, so I can watch live, on top of that.
Not having a native app to watch it on kinda blows. I hope they'll have one developed for Roku by the end of the year.

Ishii was an unsung hero this year and when you take into account his whole year plus the performance in the mini G1 for the U.S. title where I felt he was the star of that event, you got a guy who should be doing more for WK I do agree in the fact I can see him being an opponent for Naito at some point in 2018. Tanahashi/Naito will be something to consider again as well since that will add to their established story and give Naito another notch in his belt when he defeats Tanahashi as the "new Ace" Imagine if Goto gets a shot at the title before Ishii, there will be a massive groan |

Sounds like a video game announcement will be made on 1/3 at the fan festival. It's probably a little mobile game, but I'd love KoC3.

I also found out that they have a NJPW World app on Amazon, so that has lead me to subscribing to Sling TV again to get a free Amazon Fire Stick, something I was planning on doing anyways.
