And come to think of it, what’s with dwarves always having Scottish accents throughout various fantasy settings? Couldn’t you just picture “Mama Mia! By Aule’s gabbagool!” Which is pretty funny, as Tolkien's Dwarves are actually more Jewish inspired. The diaspora from their mountains out into the open lands, and Khuzdul being a closely-guarded language.

Best episode so far.
Very good when it was focussed on the dwarves and Celembrimbor and the making of the rings.
The Numenor subplot is shit. I couldn't give the shinest shite about the goings on there. In future I may actually just fast forward through Numenor.

Same as usual
Dwarves good, Celebrimbor good
Numenor a bore. What was with giving Tom Bombadill one of Gandalfs most iconic lines? That is some bullshit.
I really hope next season the writers just scrap Numenor, scrap the Harfoots, scrap the elf what's his name and all the nonsense involving him, even scrap gandalf
Just focus on the Dwarves, Celebrimbor and Adar.

I don't know how you tell the story they are telling and scrap Numenor. It is kinda important. It is a complete drag. The events in Numenor could be covered in a much shorter span of time and without being a focus of the show. None of the characters are interesting, the plot is boring. I ended up fast-forwarding through Numenor watching today and didn't feel I missed anything important.

Watching the latest episode. I know I should t nitpick, but Elrond discussing his plans in elvish-within earshot of Adar, who is a former elf and has demonstrated he still speaks the language. Just…seriously?

Just…seriously? I suppose the kiss was just a distraction, but that's gotta make for some awkward conversations once Galadriel is Elrond's mother in law.

I enjoyed that episode
Highlights for me, Celebrimbor discovering Sauron's identity and that he had been manipulating him. Really sad scene. Felt for Celebrimbor there
And Elrond at the end "Durin will come" was sad too. His faith in his best friend when we know he's not coming. Though it did remind me of Bart saying "Krusty will come" at Kamp Krusty lol.
On the downside, the reason for the Dwarves not coming was flimsy. So because the King is going to go and mine by himself the army stays behind to stop the Balrog... why? If he's digging along they could go there, defeat the orcs and return and he'll have barely dug a dozen meters lol. Couldn't they have just kept like 100 dwarves behind to keep the mine secure? I think it would have worked better if it became a civil war between the loyalists between the king and prince. Would have provided a much better reason for the dwarves not coming because they are fighting amongst themselves.
Finally--the ending Orc Heavy Metal song was f***ing awesome. I never knew Orc Metal was a genre, but I am a fan.

I am ready to predict, it will be as Galadriel called it. The orcs will turn to Sauron, he’ll probably use Adar’s own arguments against him. “It was not Sauron that brought you here and sacrificed your brethren in droves. Your father has betrayed you.”

I don't think that surprisingly intelligent Troll was worth it, TBH.

Ok, I forgot the season finale was coming out and judging by the lack of comments...nobody really care the finale came out.
It was pretty bad. Plot armour everywhere--Arondir surviving last episode and completely unharmed (I was hoping his crap storyline was over) and Sauron not killing Galadriel despite many chances.
Grand Elf -- Gandalf ... f*** off with that stupidity. Who came up with that idea? That is actually worse than Han Solo getting his name from a random Imperial Officer.
I'm not a Tolkien lore expert, but hasn't the Balrog appeared too early? Wasn't it a future Durin who released the Balrog?
The evil Numenor price who met Isildur, I can't remember his name, is like a cartoon character. He sucks
I would personally have had Arondir die and end that story. Nobody cares about it or him. I'd have killed the Harfoots--nobody cares about them and their story is a drag and you could use their deaths as a potential reason for Galdalf's fondness for Hobbits.
Numenor continues to be a complete bore
The best bit was Tom Bombadil singing. That felt very Lord of the Rings.
Season 3, going forward -- I would focus solely on the three most interesting characters -- Durin, Elrond and Sauron and scrap the rest. I am looking forward to the mention of a possible Dwarvish civil war between Durin and his brother that was hinted at.
