I've been watching episodes online, and it's hard to say. I know what Mike Judge was going for when he first made the characters, but I do like the humor of later episodes. Certain elements of the "original" B&B don't hold up well, especially the animal abuse. Plus "new" B&B video segments are SO MUCH better. Which reminds me, I'd do humanity a disservice by not sharing this YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/user/SeattleMarksJoint3

I find the later episodes funnier (especially "a great day")

I like it all, but the early episodes were the best. I even liked the way it was drawn more crudely.

To answer the OP's question, all of B&B was funny, but I lean more towards the later episodes just because Judge's performances got better and it made the music video riffs more fun.

However, when it comes to the original series, I don't think it got good until the 3rd season, or maybe the 2nd season at the earliest point. I don't even like the thought of animal abuse, much less seeing it. Having said that, animal abuse is definitely something I DON'T miss about early Beavis & Butt-head, but I'm mostly cool with everything else. The comeback season was really great, except that the duo never reviewed any rock music videos. This was disappointing, as I discovered a lot of great bands from watching Beavis & Butt-head review rock videos back in the day. (Most of those bands got little to no exposure on Much Music, the crappy MTV ripoff that Canadians were stuck with in the early and mid 90s.) I didn't find Jersey Shore entertaining or funny, even with the duo reviewing that show. The only good that came from having the duo review modern MTV reality shows was to exhibit how MTV regressed to the point that the duo are now intellectually superior to all of the people associated with modern day MTV. There were rumors that Beavis and Butt-head would review popular YouTube clips (while watching them on the television), but that idea obviously never got actualized. I have to wonder if that idea got nixed because of issues pertaining to royalties or some other such legal impediment.

As far as the 2011 series, my favorite was the one where they try to kill a rat, only to adopt it & bring it to Burger World.
So, wacky idiots for me.

I remember that one episode where they try to get into Mr. Anderson's will by washing his dog. In a laundromat and then they get in washing machine thinking they'll get stoned. Speaking of getting inside a washing machine:
