I'm getting pretty torn on this one. On paper I really wasn't interested but the reviews... They definitely have me wondering about it. I plan on taking my son to see it, since he loves Spider-Man, but I've no interest myself.

So they’ve had previews for UK and Irish cinemas this weekend so I’ve just come back from the last screening.
Man, is it a joyful movie full of love and stunning imagery. Gives you enough to not oversaturate you but leaves you wanting more for potentially a bigger movie.
Also, please, PLEASE, stay until after the credits. You’ll thank me later.

I am definitely planning to see this on Movie-and-Chinese Food Day.

This movie is fantastic.
When I first heard about it, I wanted no part of it. I’m so glad I saw it, though. It might be in my top three Marvel-related films.

So I was trying to decide between this and Once Upon a Deadpool on what movie I wanted to see this weekend, and I wound up picking Deadpool. I still might check this out on Sunday, but I think I'm more likely to save this for my Christmas Day movie (since there's no Star Wars this year).

Awesome. Just awesome. Animation, story, characters...perfect. Best Spidey movie ever? It's right up there. Great stuff.
Mid credits scene will get you emotional. End credits scene will make you mark out and then laugh. So much fun.

Really fun movie, quite possibly the best Spidey movie of them all. The animation and music are just top-notch.
I'm sure everyone will have their favorite but for me, Spider-Man Noir ended up being the scene-stealer. The new look combined with Cage giving the the perfect blend of seriousness and cheese to his dialogue cinched it for me.

I can't help but feel that they just did the same with this movie that they did for Ghost Rider, just followed Nic Cage home and recorded everything he said/did before applying it to the film.

This was both the best animated film I've seen this year and the best superhero film as well. With time and rewatches, it could possibly dethrone Spider-Man 2 as my favourite Spidey flick. They took full advantage of the sandbox an animated film can be and knocked it out the park.

Saw this yesterday. After sleeping on it, this might be my favorite Spider-Man film ever, and is for sure in my Top 5 Marvel films overall (alongside Logan, Days of Future Past, Thor Ragnarok, and the first Guardians). The animation was gorgeous, the story was refreshingly unconventional and was directly tied into the visual style without feeling gimmicky, the voice acting was top-notch, soundtrack was great, and the balance between heart and humor was pretty much perfect.

Yeah, the movie was absolutely worth the price of admission. My wife went in half-hearted since she wasn't really interested in the movie, came out of it saying she wanted to go see it again next weekend (a huge rarity).
There's so many Easter Eggs throughout the whole movie that a hardcore Marvel fan like myself can enjoy, and the animation has its own flourish to it that makes it stand out against the homogenized look and feel of the Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks releases. My daughter was absolutely in awe of it as well, talking about it non-stop yesterday (she's now officially obsessed with Spider-Gwen).
My only minor nitpick I had (at least for my screening) was that there were times when the movie itself seemed to have some issues staying in focus. There were some obvious parts of the movie that were designed for some epic 3D shots that felt completely out of focus at times. I watched it on a 2D IMAX screen so I know at least the projector isn't supposed to be all that bad, but nevertheless it was a poor mark on an otherwise fantastic film.
Oh, and that post-credits is probably the best one Marvel has ever had IMO.
