Examples,
Chris Jericho wins the WWE Championship on Raw but Triple H reverses the decision a few hours later and erases it.
The Midnight Rider wins the NWA Championship but is told he needs to unmask or it didn't happen.
Jack Veneno wins the NWA Championship but uh they just decide not to talk about it or whatever.
I've noticed this sort of thing is a lot more likely with world championships, presumably because companies don't care as much about the technicalities of enforcing rules with smaller titles. Or maybe I just don't know about any of them.
This isn't necessarily a debate about whether title reigns like this "count" or not, because they obviously don't, and it doesn't really matter anyway. However, I was wondering if there were more like it, either with a high profile or on the small scale.

Pretty sure we all know D'Lo's Eurocontinental championship reign doesn't count.

X-Pac tweeted that he attended a show in Florida on Oct. 30, 1984 where Jay Youngblood beat Ric Flair for the NWA world title. Everyone left thinking they’d seen a title change but it was never acknowledged after that.

Everyone left thinking they’d seen a title change but it was never acknowledged after that. I think that this happened from time to time in the pre-internet days. Lou Thesz talked about doing the same thing once against someone that I can’t remember and I think that both Flair and Harley Race did the same thing on tours of Japan and Australia.

The Rockers beat the Hart Foundation for the tag titles in 1990, but the change was never mentioned on air. This was the match where the top rope broke.

The Rougeaus won the Tag Titles in 87 from The Harts at a house show in Canada, footage of it should still be up on youtube but it was never acknowledged.

Joke about Mania 20 in 5...4...3...2... You mean that time Triple H misplaced the WHC at Madison Square Garden while fighting Shawn Michaels, then months later Randy Orton found it in Toronto and Triple got mad?

Would Dusty Rhodes winning the title at Starrcade '85 count? As they waited until the weekend shows to announce the reversed decision.

Everyone left thinking they’d seen a title change but it was never acknowledged after that. Years ago at a WWF house show in Biloxi the main event was IC champ Rick Rude vs Warrior. Warrior pinned and won the title. And it was never mentioned on TV. I assume this was a common thing. Let the face win the main event to send the crowd home happy. Same show we saw Barry Horowitz beat Boris Zukhoff. Way before Barry got "his only win ever" in Global and then WWF.

The one that really bothers me is Bobo Brazil's NWA World Title reign not being acknowledged as that's pretty historic.
One that I was in person for was the night before Badd Blood, Los Boricuas pinned The Headbangers to win the tag team title, but another ref ran down and they "Restarted" the match, which the 'Bangers won.
Is Savio Vega the only person to "win-but-not-win" two major titles?

I remember reading that it was kind of sort acknowledged on TV. It was either acknowledged either on TV only in the market where the match took place (Indianapolis) where WWE said that since the top rope broke, the title change was erased or since tv tapings took place weeks or sometimes months in advance, it was announced on commentary but later on WWE said that since the top rope broke, the title change was erased. I wasn't a fan back then.
