Came up in the Mixed Match Challenge thread. Curious what you all think.
Are Balor Club heels? To me the only person that came off as a heel in the six man tag on RAW was Jordan, and then obviously Miztourage after.
Thoughts?

Nope. They're not antagonistic as the other Raw heels.
Especially since they were in a match with Jason Jordan. You'll always be the default face team.

Well, we're getting to an interesting point where there's a lot of alignment ambiguity in play on both shows. You have Roman, Rollins, and Jordan, technically three faces (or at least two faces and one transitioning into a heel), but two out of the three are getting booed (and only one out of the two are supposed to be). You have the Miztourage, who are technically heels, but Miz seems to be kind of playing to the fans more, hinting that he might be in the process of turning face.
Then you have the Balor Club; one face and two heels, although, once again, this very well could be the start of a turn one way or the other for the member/s that aren't already a certain alignment. Which way that goes will probably be more well defined after the Rumble. You also have the whole situation on SD with Shane/AJ/Bryan/Owens/Sami, where the heel/face dynamic, at least where it relates to the GM's, seems to kind of change week to week, and that's not even counting other cases of alignment ambiguity on that show (Rusev/Usos).

I'd object mostly on the grounds that I don't think WWE is so much writing lots of complicated, gray morality and more that the writing just isn't very good and the fans aren't responding to the narrative as is expected them, but they don't know how to course correct or get people on board for it so they keep stumbling over themselves. I don't buy Roman is being booked to draw heel reactions and that everyone in the company would much rather he be loved and cheered. Jordan obviously is a contentious issue, and as far as Shane goes I don't even think the dynamic is weird so much as Shane is just that rampantly unlikable and unsympathetic right now. To that end, I wouldn't be surprised if Balor Club is right now building up to Balor turning heel or Gallows and Anderson turning face-ish.

Half bad writing/stubbornness by WWE (Roman/Shane/Bryan), and half the fans not realizing that some things are being intentionally done (Jordan/Rusev). I think a heel turn by Jordan has been in the works for a while now, but the Ambrose injury kind of made WWE have to back burner "The Big Turn" for a little bit. As for Miz and the Balor Club....that could really go either way at this point. It'll be interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.

They're waiting for the day that people give up on booing Roman so they can make DVDs talking about what a genius Vince was and that he knew what he was doing all along.

Tweeners at the moment
Gave out to the dorkish Jason Jordan (who commentary painted as "slightly heelish") while showing respect to Roman and Seth

I think WWE will keep them tweener for a bit, so that they can be used as foils for anyone.

Tweeners at the moment Gave out to the dorkish Jason Jordan (who commentary painted as "slightly heelish") while showing respect to Roman and Seth It was fascinating the way everyone in the segment dished out their own disrespect toward Jordan. Balor Club was pretty overt about it, meanwhile Seth was keeping it subtle and restrained because he has to be tag champs with the dude, and Roman was somewhere in the middle, mostly aghast at Jordan thinking he is anywhere near the level of kinship they have with Ambrose.

Jordan deserves credit for his performance as I did think that was the best he's been on the mic and played up the obnoxious level of his character very well Roman had no time for Roman thinking he can replace Dean and Seth is just trying to keep the kid on a leash

Could Roman Reigns demolishing Jason Jordan finally help gets the fans behind Reigns? I don't know if I'd go that far, but a few weeks ago when they faced off 1v1, Jordan was getting booed pretty heavily. In a match where he was very much in the babyface role. And he got booed more when he saved Roman from a post-match Coquina Clutch. And there was plenty of cheers when Roman decided to be ungrateful afterwards. So maybe it's just that Jordan is hated more.
