It definitely looks like they're running an injury angle with Dakota, which if they do it right would have the makings of a good comeback story for Dakota when she returns.

If she had done that to, say, Jessie Eleban (the woman she put the chokehold on in the video shown before the match), everyone would have cheered her. Doing it to Dakota, who everyone loves, gets her booed. Desired effect, plus you have a great comeback story for Dakota when they're ready to build her up.

Great selling by Dakota Kai, but I hope people don't sell Bazler short either. Her offense is brutally convincing. Everything looks legit and painful but still executed precisely without hurting anyone. And she just looks like a miserable human being...but I'd never tell that to her face. She's a great heel.

It's clearly just an angle. Shayna has too much to lose from a legit injury she caused. And I say this as a fan of both Dakota and Shayna.

Having not watched the MYC, I hadn't seen Shayna before now. Even without mic skills (I haven't heard her so I can't vouch one way or the other), she has the potential to be the top woman heel. She just has this nastiness about her stature... wow. Colour me stunned!

The only downside was the NXT crowd cheering her anyway. Shayna may show off that same swagger in time, we don't know yet. I'd love for her to relentlessly trash-talk opponents in promos the way Rousey did at her weigh-ins. |

I think what some people mean by "female Baron Corbin" is that Shayna is what Corbin (while I'm not as down on him as I used to be) should be.

What really struck me was basically how she took Regal's threat and basically told him IDGAF in how cocky her response was and her body language. |
