For everyone calling out the doctors, think about what their job is. These doctors are having to advise WWE on how serious a condition is and WWE has to make the decision not to use them. Paige has multiple spine and neck issues, then one messed up spot and lost feeling again, no doctor would clear her and even if she could, do you honestly think WWE would risk putting her in the ring? There is a massive difference between incompetence and giving out news people don't want to hear.

Terrible to hear. While I was never a big fan of her's, it's never cool to see someone lose the career they grew up in and loved for so long, and at such a young age.

Poor Paige. Just horrible for her. I have a feeling the company will keep her around, maybe front some of the UK-Centric Network stuff etc.
She'd also be a good person to go to the PC and talk about the pitfalls of the business to the guys starting out there.

A real shame. Been a big fan of hers for a long time Hopefully she sticks around. I would like her to be a manager for a heel Becky Lynch like Becky was for Paige in Shimmer.

IF this is the end, maybe she can be kept around as a manager for Sonya and Mandy, saying that she already accomplished everything she could've and now wants them to carry her legacy or whatever. I mean, Corey Graves had to retire for not being able to be cleared to compete (which became the topic of insults years later) and he ended up becoming a pretty good commentator, having a second chance to make a living in WWE. If she chooses to, she can be a trainer, a manager or an agent since she still has value and can help others get further. It's a shame to see this happen but sometimes it's better to be safe than sorry.

She's been doing this for way longer than a lot of the girls have, and this was a huge part of her life. Being that young and having time, youth and money on your hands...it can really screw things up for someone with a troubled past. Hopefully she's better off now, and they find something suitable for her.

the worst part is that she seemed like she was closing in on personal redemption and maturity after so much crap that happened to her.

That sucks, she still had a lot to offer in the ring I think, she'll never fully reach her potential as a wrestler now. I hope she stays in wrestling though, as a manager or trainer or something like that.

And I wouldn't even count him in this because he's not a specialist like the ones that would be consulted in situations like this. The guy in the Punk situation is either general practice or something like a sports medicine doc. The ones in these situations are top of line people that also work with the major sports leagues.

Seen some absolutely obscene comments - including racist ones - that people have sent to Sasha Banks since the news came out. I've been through a horrible week in my local wrestling scene, and I don't need all this on top of it. Go jump in a deep cold ocean if that's a viewpoint you have.

I feel bad because I know some sorry people are gonna be blaming Sasha for what was basicaly a freak accident that was basically just the final straw in a long line of broken ones for Paige as a whole. Anyone could have caused this, Paige was hanging by a thread, it happened to be a spot with Sasha, that's just how it is. Not her fault.
This really flattens Absolution as well, not like they or Riott Squad had ever gained momentum in the first place, but to be told to retire right as you come back, it's sadly similar to the Daniel Bryan one where it's like "You want to believe the doctors but do you truly know? And even if you don't, do you really want to see them get hurt to a point they can't fully recover from?"
It truly is a shame, Paige's life is nothing but a whirlwind, just when it simmers it picks up again.

It's bad enough that she has to retire so young, but doing so as a member of a family of wrestlers has to be an even worse blow. Hopefully they can find something for her outside of the ring as she's still a strong asset to the company.

Besides the CM Punk thing, have they ever really been incompetent? not in any story we've heard of in recent years, but they (and Johnny Ace) did keep clearing Hardcore Holly so he could compete in inconsequential battle royals on a European tour with a Staph in his arm, to the point a German doctor told him that the idiots nearly caused him to need an amputation.

I feel awful for Paige. Hopefully she can find something else in life that can substitute for the feeling she got as a wrestler. Better to get out now and have a chance at a good life than to get crippled.
