Sounds like a Bryan situation again where they have Bryan sitting out until retirement but they know he's done. When we heard about all the shit that had been going on with her neck and spine I knew she'd be on a short leash with WWE who do not play around with Neck Related Injuries. Even if Paige is a Ten Year Vet at 25 this stuff can happen to anyone, it's the wear and tear of this business. Sadly some things can just happen to wrestlers and it can shorten them big time or cut them off entirely too soon. Some people don't even make it out of training, it's a very high demanding business that will tax your body whether the Indies or WWE, and it can be plenty unforgiving. To the point it won't be the high risks that end it, it'll be the mundane shit that is just what breaks the foundation. But the head and neck? Nah. You don't play with that. Because that can be one of the worst and sometimes happens on the most normal bumps. Paige takes a kick to the back of the head. Bryan takes a forearm and has a seizure among other things. Droz took a back bodydrop wrong and got paralyzed. Perro Aguayo Jr. literally just falls into a rope wrong and it killed him. The head and neck area in wrestling is not to be f***ed with. It shortened Austin's Career by several years, Edge the same, and is probably gonna do the same to Sheamus soon. Some wrestlers will wrestle until they're friggen 60s or 70s in some capacity and be perfectly fine, and then there are others where you just can't predict what will happen, and for Paige it's a sad road she might have to go down and accept, but it doesn't mean she still can't do things she loves in WWE like manage or be around even if it's over. Because I'd hate to see her try and go back to the indies if it's as serious as it's been reported...

Silver lining here is that Paige can still be part of history as the woman on the outside of the Royal Rumble in the first ever Women's RR. What a match to retire on, especially if her outside interference has a say in the finish of the match ala some James Ellsworth shenanigans.

It makes you wonder about the health of these wrestlers as a whole because sans being injured as far as they're concerned they're good to go. You can't measure the miles on these people until they go down for the count and by then it might be too late and we're only talking about the freak accidents, botches and falls. We're not talking about those "hidden pains" they get with bumps that they push through because they've been trained to do it, we're not talking about those nights where they feel ok but then when they wake up they're in pain and then they go grab some ice. Stuff like that is an underlying danger as well so you put all of that into play it's amazing how some of these wrestlers do this for as long as they do. Yeah we want to see them wrestle but none of us want them to end up horrible late in life. Look at Mick Foley of all people. If you ask me I'd love to see guys have a Rock-like run where they're here less than 10 years, in and out and then they're still in great condition. Jericho, HHH, these are 2 names that I'm very interested in seeing how they are physically a decade from now.

Jericho had some bad back pain that probably would have ended his career a few years ago and DDP Yoga saved him and has made him better than ever where as far as I know he doesn't have that pain anymore or it's substantially less. Conditioning helps and goes a long way. As evidenced at least in that regard.

They need to straight up put DDP on the payroll and just have wrestlers visit him to get their bodies straight on their downtime.
