I think it's pretty much common consensus that AJ Styles is one of, if not THE best wrestler in WWE today. In the two years since his debut at the Royal Rumble, he has taken the company by storm, arguably being their most consistently reliable performer, putting on some fantastic matches and getting mega over with the audience.
But where do you think he ranks within the annals of history of WWE? Pound for pound, is he a top 10 all time great, to be mentioned in the same reverence as Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle etc? Or is two years simply not long enough to be put on that same level?

In my eyes he’s top 4. Theres only Savage, HBK, Angle and AJ in that sentence.

AJ Styles, Randy Savage, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Bret Hart, Chris Benoit, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk .... That's only eight possible candidates, and even some of them are debatable. So by default and process of elimination, I'll say yes.

My top 10 would be;
Bob Backlund Tito Santana Randy Savage Bret Hart Mr. Perfect Shawn Michaels Chris Jericho Kurt Angle Daniel Bryan AJ Styles
I consider 'worker' beyond just doing crisp moves, however being diverse as a worker goes a long ways to having a great match with just about anyone. So really, it's charisma, technique and the ability to have a good match with just about anyone. Those are the people 1O I consider the best of their era. There's a lot of very close people though. While I like Steamboat, I felt he did better work elsewhere as I do about Flair. Rick Martel and Christian would be on there but I don't think they were ever really long term booked to be a threat. I disqualified Benoit. A few others I didn't include because they were either too much of the same formula for matches or didn't have enough classics to warrant being on the list.

Perfect should be a given. I'd be tempted to chuck Dibiase in there as well before he got too banged up. He used to carry matches in his early run.

Yeah, easily.
This is how I’d rank my top 10 in terms of in ring work. It would possibly change each time I put the order together though:
1. Bret Hart 2. Shawn Michaels 3. Kurt Angle 4. AJ Styles 5. Chris Benoit 6. Daniel Bryan 7. Mr. Perfect 8. Randy Savage 9. Eddie Guerrero 10. Chris Jericho

I say yes. I think this is the best collective group of talent that the WWF/E has ever had and AJ is head and shoulders above the rest of the pack, imo.

The moment they brought him in for the one off Balor match sealed it for me. I would rate him probably in the top 5.

Most definitely. In terms of technical ability, storytelling and making you care, he's top five.
1. Bryan 2. Michaels 3. AJ 4. Bret 5. Savage 6. Steamboat 7. Flair 8. Austin 9. Punk 10. Cena

Being a good worker is delivering classic matchs and I have not seen one from AJ in the WWE yet.

Being a good worker is delivering classic matchs and I have not seen one from AJ in the WWE yet. That's because your perspective on classic matches seems to be built more around Hogan/Andre or Austin/HBK showmanship. Nothing against that, but its an observation I had. Anyway, I'd argue yes. On top of that, he's been able to be at the top of the promotion. Most guys in these lists were often sound hands but the company looked elsewhere for star power. Styles has been given that chance.

He's easily in the top 4 with Savage, Bret, and Shawn.
