One of my biggest wishes is to fly with a pilot in a crop duster and dare him to try and scare me.

I'm not worried about flying, as my attitude is that if the plane's going to crash then that's that. Obviously I don't want this to happen, but I just have faith that the pilot and engineers have done their job 100% perfectly.
I've only felt uncomfortable during turbulence once or twice, as it was quite severe for about an hour and there were no words of reassurance from the captain or flight crew. Thankfully, it's not stopped me getting on a plane for other travels.

In my case I am totally dependent on the reactions of the flight attendants, and on the flights they must remain seated and with the belt they transmit a bit of nerves, this even though I fly twice a week

You should find out how a plane works and all the security that goes into it and mechanics. Told my friend to research a lot about it and they stopped getting scared. I fly around 20times a year on average and always long distance flights and after seeing some crazy stuff and how they dealt with it...there is nothing to be scared. If a pilot can´t land for example the freakin plane does it for him through infrared scanning.
Had a crazy flight from Germany to Indonesia last month where we basically had insane turbulence all the way through the Indian Ocean which took around 4 hours of non stop shaking. I got a bit sick but that was all that happened.
But since the definiton of a phobia is that they are irrational...there is nothing that I can say to help you other then think rational.

I’ve flown between the UK and US about forty times or so and though it doesn’t scare me, I’m not that big a fan of it. I like take-off, I like landing. It’s the eight hours in between that annoys me. I struggle to sleep on planes so I get bored easily and no matter how much stuff I take to read/play/listen to I still get a bit of cabin fever halfway through the flight. Same for me. I can only sleep laying down, and given that when I fly I rarely go somewhere with a direct route. Last year I travelled to Las Vegas and L.A. and had to get a 1am coach from Exeter to Bristol, wait three hours for an early-morning flight to Brussels, wait another three hours for a flight to Chicago, then wait another five hours for a flight to Vegas. Between the lack of sleep and being crammed in an economy window seat, I didn't want to fly again for a very long time. So, of course, my trip home was even longer.

Yes, very scared. I've only had one trip by plane, and it was perfectly fine. The idea of doing it scares me. The flying itself wasn't bad. I didn't even notice when we landed the first time it was so smooth. It does suck to be stuck with a group of people in a small space for a while, but really the only thing that freaks me out is the thought of a crash. I mean, if you die in a car crash, it's usually a quick blunt force trauma. You're dead shortly after you're surprised. Whereas I feel like no one has ever died in a plane crash not completely terrified out of their mind.

No. Cause I don't really care. If it's peace you find in flying, then let my flying time be near.

I'm not uncomforable about the risk of it. For me it's just my head/stomach hurting if we hit turbulence.
Last trip I took by plane, both of my eardrums ruptured. So now I'm sweating that too. Turns out I had a sinus infection before I left on the trip, but I hadn't felt much of any symptoms. So I'll likely be going to the doctor before my next flight, just to confirm that won't happen again, because that experience was absolutely f***ing miserable.

I don't mind flying, it's the airport stuff I hate.
